Challenge Spotlight – Color Challenge

Hello all, hope this finds you doing well this rainy week in June (at least in Texas). This week I am spotlighting the color challenge hosted by Ivonne of Craft-tastrophic Designs. Ivonne has picked out a really funky, retro color palette for you to scrap with this month and it’s definitely 70s-inspired; check it out:

I am loving the teal and orange combo! It’s a great palette for scrapping all those masculine layouts that you still want to have a pop of bright color in. If you want a little inspiration, take a look at some of the layouts the forum ladies have already created for this challenge:

Love these layouts! We’ve got so many kits in the store that have a touch of this color palette…including this month’s buffet! Sunday is Father’s Day, at least in parts of the world. I hope you tell that special guy in your family how much you appreciate him. The designers have created some great kits that would be perfect for a hybrid card. The 4th of July is in less than a month, as well, and there are some great kits this week that would be perfect to scrap last year’s pictures that you missed, or even another hybrid project, perfect for any barbeque.

Before I show you them, though, I have to show off some amazing layouts from the gallery! The layouts for this week are two using Just Like Dad and one using School’s Out, this month’s monthly mix.

Created by scrapjrlgcp. I love the idea of a summer bucket list. I’m definitely going to have to lift this idea!

Lovely layout created by catgoddess. I love that it’s not a dad-centric layout. Shows the versatility of the buffet!

Wonderful layout created by swastinadia. I love the repeated journal card. The different quotes make it wonderful as well!
