Challenge Spotlight – Color Challenge

Good morning, happy Tuesday and Merry Christmas to those who celebrate! It’s FINALLY getting a bit chilly in Texas today–maybe some snow/ice flakes later today??–and I’m in the mood to get cozy, stay indoors and open presents! I made sure to charge my batteries last night so I could take lots of scrappable pictures today! Can you believe this is the last challenge spotlight of 2012?! Where has the time gone?? I am wrapping up this year with one of my favorite challenges we have every month, the color challenge hosted this month by Moni of 2AM Designs! Let’s take a look at the lovely photo she found that has inspired her color palette for this month:

Pretty, wintery, rustic–I love it and I can see the color choices just popping out of this photo! (Boy, do I just adore mercury ornaments. Vintage beauties!) The green, brown and silver colors in this photo are just right for this time of year.  Take a look at what the forum ladies have been creating with these colors in mind…

Such gorgeous layouts, ladies! I like how you can go through here and pick out the color palette, but they each used the colors so differently on their pages. Some awesome creations to end the year with. :)

This is the LAST full week of December, so make sure you’re wrapping up your challenges and getting them tallied up in the December Challenge Points Tracking thread. You’ll need to link all your pages so you can start 2013 off with a nifty reward. Who doesn’t want free buffet items or a store gift certificate? I sure do! :)

That’s about it! I need to go to sleep so Santa doesn’t skip my apartment! ;) I guess there’s not much else to say but again, Merry Christmas and since it will happen before I blog again, happy new year! See y’all in 2013. :)

Challenge Spotlight – Color Challenge

Hey everyone and happy Tuesday! Sorry I missed you last week, I was sick something wicked: 101 fever, body aches, chills–the whole nine yards. It’s going around, so I guess that means fall and winter are finally coming to the south, right? Yay, I’m tired of 90 degree days! I’m ready to load up the fireplace, cuddle up in my warm winter pajamas and scrap the nights away! To get you in the fall state of mind, this week I am spotlighting the color challenge hosted by JoyLynn of Blue Heart Scraps and she’s chosen a color palette perfect for the new season! Take a look:

I love the warm, earth tones with the pretty blues for a bit of a cool touch. This is definitely an excellent palette to get you started scrapping some of your new (or old!) fall photos. With a lovely color challenge like this, the ladies in the forum have already gone to town creating some really lovely layouts. If you want some inspiration, you’ve got it!

Challenge Spotlight – Color Challenge

Good morning, ladies! Sorry I’m a little late on this morning’s blog; it’s been a hectic, emotional week for me, BUT I’m psyched to bring you this week’s challenge spotlight! This week, I’m spotlighting June’s color challenge hosted by Roseytoes Designs! Ryan has picked a really great palette for us to work with this month, it’s a little masculine just in time for Father’s Day, but neutral enough to work with any layout! Here’s what she’s chosen:

So pretty! I love that sage green and beige. (Am I biased because this is essentially my bathroom color palette? Maybe!) Ryan has picked out some great kits that include these colors; make sure you stop by the color challenge thread to see those and get some ideas on which kits to use!

The ladies in the forum have already been hard at work creating some lovely LOs with these colors. If you need a little inspiration for your own scrap,  take a look at these!

From a masculine father layout to a lovely, feminine heritage layout–you ladies did an excellent job making this color palette your own! I can’t wait to see what YOU will do with this, too! :)

That’s it for me! If you have any questions about this or any of our other monthly challenges, you can direct those to the Cookie Jar! All the fabulous GS ladies are ready to help in any way possible and answer any questions you may have about the challenges or scrapping in general! Until next week! <3
