From the Archives – 2017

Well scrappers, this is the last creative blog post of 2017. It is also the last Saturday of 2017. Which means yesterday’s Fresh Baked goodies were the last goodies for 2017. I know I say it every year. I am going to say it again. Where did 2017 get to? I feel like it was just January and we were gearing up for the new year.

Instead we are rounding up 2017; and today we are going to take a look back in the archives. Usually I go back as far as I can in the store to showcase the oldies but goodies of the digital scrapbooking supplies here at GingerScraps. Today’s From the Archives post will be a little different. We are going to take a look back at 2017.

In 2017 we saw other stores close. It is always so sad to see that happen. However, we did gain some amazing designers, staff, and faces around the forum and galleries. We also gained some new friends because of that. There is no doubt about it though. We saw some great designs from our designers here at GignerScraps this year. We had 52 Fresh Baked releases. I would love to show you at least one from each week. I don’t want to overwhelm your sense though. Instead, I am going to show you some of my favorites from 2017. I realize that not all tastes are the same. That my favorite isn’t going to be yours. I do hope you enjoy this look back at 2017 though. Brought to you by our talented designers here at GingerScraps.

Puppy dog tails. Snips and snails. When boys are little, they’re short and sweet. As they get older, they get bigger, and usually aren’t so cuddly. They’re into anything that requires outdoors. They live in dark but bright colors.
This kit signifies all of that. It’s perfect for anything that says “I know a boy”. It can be used for outdoor-related activities, as well. It’s a very versatile kit.

When life gives you choices, how will you handle it? Reflect your unique way behind each decision you take with this kit.

There you go. 10 kits from the archives. Maybe you have some or all of these. Or maybe these designs and designers are new to you. I suggest taking a look back in the store to see what you can find. I will be back once a month to help you do just that.

From the Archives Vol. 8

We are almost to the end of 2016; and already on the 8th edition of from the Archives. This year has flown by!

From the Archives is one of my favorite posts to write here at GingerScraps. I have been an enabler of digital scrapbooking with my friends from the start of it for me. I enjoy helping people find new digital scrapbooking supplies.

What archives? Well, we are going to show you some digital scrapbooking supplies that are in the store that are at least a year old. Usually older than that.  Some of us may be new to digital scrapbooking or new to GingerScraps. Some people don’t check the store every week. Basically, things can and do get lost in the weekly shuffle of the store. With that in mind, we are going to go back and look at some great products. Our hope is that you find some great things you might have been looking for; or find something that you didn’t know you needed but totally do now that you see it!

You  might have noticed all these oldies but goodies have similarity about them. The color! This From the Archives, I chose to go back to November 2015’s Buffet. Taking a look at what hitting the store a year ago.  Don’t forget about November 2016’s Buffet! These two compliment each other well.

From the Archives Vol. 7

This month’s From the Archives, we are going to take a look at Doodles. Doodles are a great addition to any digital scrapbooking layout. Usually they have the hand-drawn (or actually are hand-drawn) look to them. Some doodles have paint look to them; and some doodles have little elements with them. You can check out all the Doodles in the store HERE. Here are just a few of them from back in the Archives. Images are linked to the store.

From the Archives Vol. 4 – Alphas

I cannot believe we are already at Volume 4 of looking back in our Archives. Have you found anything you liked yet or added to your collection? I hope that you have.

The reason we are doing this is because our designers have great kits and collections from years ago!

Like I mentioned in last month’s archive post, we are going to pull away from just looking at kits this month. There is so much more to be had in the store!! Today we are going to look back at some of the great Alphas.

This month’s look back I am not going to do just five items. We are going to take a look at 10! All images are linked to the store. We will be looking back to 2012 and 2013. Enjoy!

I so enjoy LuvEwe designs. This is one of her oldest kits in the store. She always includes lots of word art. I like it!

This is the oldest Ponytail Designs kit in the store. Take a look at the jam packed kit!! I never let a good boy kit not join my collection…just like this one!

Not one of her oldest kits, for sure. Connie has been giving us great kits for a while now. This is one of the oldest in her GingerScraps’ store. Also in my scrap stash….just look at all those kitties!

What scraptastic lady doesn’t need this GignerBread Ladies collab?!

What great dad colors! I really like the guy and the crown. Great for any kind of photos, but especially the Dad ones!

I know we are in the middle of summer (in the states) and not really thinking back to school…just wait…it will be here in a blink! Here is one of the older Monthly Mixes. Love those owls!

What a pretty kit with the slightest bit of shabby feel to it. This is the oldest Inspired Designs kit in the store. Oldie but goody!

i am not going to lie…this is my all time favorite Trixie Scrap’s kit. The colors, the theme, the elements and the papers. I have used this kit over-and-over. I just thought others should see it as well!

Pretty in Green has been with us for a while! This is one of her older kits that has not retired. It is such a pretty kit as well. I just want to take that lion home with me!

Just like Pretty in Green, Colie’s Corner has been not only with GingerScraps for a long while, but designing for a long while. You might not find her releasing every week at the moment, you can find some fantastic and timeless kits in the Archives!

What did you think? Going to add any to your stash or wishlist? I know I added quite a few all of them to my wish list. 🙂 I think next time around we are going to take a step away from the digital scrapbooking kits and look at something else from the archive. Do you have any suggestions? What would you like showcased from the archives?

We would love to see what you scrapped with these or any of our products. Make sure you upload those layouts to the gallery! If you have used any of these great finds from the past, link us up here!

This is and will probably always be one of my favorite kits from Aprilisa. (I did suggest the colors after-all). It is a great boy kit that you can keep coming back to. What a great price as well!

Also one of my favorite kits from Pretty in Green. Yes…it is another boy kit. Such great colors and fun elements. I really like the kraft paper feel to it as well.

How about a beautiful kit that is a bit more on the girly side? This makes me think of glass slippers and pretty dresses. I really like the glittery feel to the entire kit.

On the theme of Disney, what about this kit from Connie Prince?! This looks like a kit that hardcore Disney lovers or even the average Disney lovers could keep coming back to.

I love Pixelily designs. There is always an artsy look to her more traditional designs.
