But I think you&#8217;ll be happy you&#8217;ve read it later! I&#8217;m going to show you a super-quick <strong>Guided Edit<\/strong> to help with those photos you have that would be GREAT if it weren&#8217;t for <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">(fill in the photo flaw here<\/span>) &#8211; you know, the ones where the subject is really off to one side, or there are people you don&#8217;t want in it but cropping is going to upset the balance, or there&#8217;s too much space between the people in the photo and you want them to look like they like each other. Below is the layout I did for this month&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/forums.gingerscraps.net\/showthread.php?42493-May-2018-GingerScraps-Created-With-Rewards\"><strong>GingerScraps: Created With Rewards<\/strong><\/a> challenge. I used the <a href=\"https:\/\/store.gingerscraps.net\/GingerBread_Ladies\/\"><strong>GingerBread Ladies<\/strong><\/a>&#8216; April challenge reward collab <a href=\"https:\/\/store.gingerscraps.net\/GingerBread-Ladies-Collab-Birdsong.html\"><strong>Birdsong<\/strong><\/a> and a <a href=\"https:\/\/store.gingerscraps.net\/Brushed-Templates-Set-2.html\"><strong>template<\/strong><\/a> from <a href=\"https:\/\/store.gingerscraps.net\/Aimee-Harrison\/\"><strong>Aimee<\/strong> <strong>Harrison<\/strong>\u00a0<\/a>for my layout. The photos are from Pixabay; <strong>Rochelle<\/strong> liked my layout enough that she nominated it for <a href=\"https:\/\/forums.gingerscraps.net\/showthread.php?42943-Bakers-Best-5-27-6-2&amp;p=501228#post501228\"><strong>Baker&#8217;s Best<\/strong><\/a>! Using a template saves a lot of time without taking away the creative part of digiscrapping. If I&#8217;m stuck for how much I can resize a photo and I don&#8217;t want to change the size or shape of the photo spot, I&#8217;ll click on the photo spot layer&#8217;s thumbnail so I can see the exact dimensions and location of the spot. But holy guacamole&#8230; the poor bird looks really uncomfortable! It lets you manipulate your photos without messing them up. It&#8217;s going to save the day for me.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-25168\" src=\"https:\/\/gingerscraps.net\/gsblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/6-4-500x174.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"174\" srcset=\"https:\/\/gingerscraps.net\/gsblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/6-4-500x174.jpg 500w, https:\/\/gingerscraps.net\/gsblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/6-4-768x267.jpg 768w, https:\/\/gingerscraps.net\/gsblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/6-4-875x304.jpg 875w, https:\/\/gingerscraps.net\/gsblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/6-4.jpg 1920w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Just in case you&#8217;re wondering, the photo cannot be already on your layout when you deploy this <strong>Edit<\/strong>. When you hit the <strong>Recompose<\/strong> button on the <strong>Edit<\/strong> menu, it&#8217;s going to recompose your whole layout. I&#8217;m not going to go into them today; it&#8217;s a much more complex tutorial that we&#8217;ll save for another day. So I clicked on the <strong>Recompose<\/strong> button and got rolling with my super-quick, easy basic <strong>Recomposition<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-25170\" src=\"https:\/\/gingerscraps.net\/gsblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/8-4-500x268.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"268\" srcset=\"https:\/\/gingerscraps.net\/gsblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/8-4-500x268.jpg 500w, https:\/\/gingerscraps.net\/gsblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/8-4-768x411.jpg 768w, https:\/\/gingerscraps.net\/gsblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/8-4-875x468.jpg 875w, https:\/\/gingerscraps.net\/gsblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/8-4.jpg 1920w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I opted to make the photo a little narrower, in keeping with the orientation of the photo spot I was using. It didn&#8217;t need a lot of tweaking so I chose to click on the <strong>Next<\/strong> button down at the bottom right of the screen, the clicked on <strong>Continue Editing In Expert&gt;Done<\/strong>.\u00a0That took me back to my layout, with the edited photo in the <strong>Photo Bin<\/strong>. I dragged the photo back onto the template, resized it to cover the photo spot and clipped the photo to the spot.
