The older I get the faster time flies. The last week has really kicked my butt, let me tell you. So I thought we&#8217;d try something very simple but incredibly beautiful today. I love this photo (from <strong>Pixabay<\/strong>) but I think it could be even prettier in black and white. Probably the easiest is to click on <strong>Enhance&gt;Convert to Black and White<\/strong> (<strong>CTRL\/CMD&gt;ALT&gt;B<\/strong>) as shown. Or you could use <strong>Enhance&gt;Adjust Color&gt;Adjust Hue\/Saturation<\/strong> then pull the <strong>Saturation<\/strong> slider all the way to the left. The image is a little sharper and the contrast is a little higher. It&#8217;s from Janu<strong>ary 2020&#8217;s Daily Download<\/strong>, <a href=\"https:\/\/store.gingerscraps.net\/The-Cherry-On-Top-Toujours-Scrapbooking-Kit.html\"><strong>Toujours<\/strong><\/a> from <a href=\"https:\/\/store.gingerscraps.net\/Key-Lime-Digi-Designs\/\"><strong>Key Lime Digi Designs<\/strong><\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/store.gingerscraps.net\/The-Cherry-On-Top\/\"><strong>The Cherry on Top<\/strong><\/a>. Now what?? As you can see there are two separate layers there, with the colour layer on top. I didn&#8217;t know this trick until just recently, but when using a mask like this it&#8217;s possible to use the <strong>Clone Stamp<\/strong> tool to extend a photo out to the edges of your mask.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-34085\" src=\"https:\/\/gingerscraps.net\/gsblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/15-500x269.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"323\" srcset=\"https:\/\/gingerscraps.net\/gsblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/15-500x269.jpg 500w, https:\/\/gingerscraps.net\/gsblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/15-768x413.jpg 768w, https:\/\/gingerscraps.net\/gsblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/15-1536x827.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/gingerscraps.net\/gsblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/15-875x471.jpg 875w, https:\/\/gingerscraps.net\/gsblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/15.jpg 1600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I wanted more of the pearls and her hair inside the mask, so before I started playing with the <strong>Clone Stamp<\/strong>, I clicked <strong>Image&gt;Transform&gt;Skew<\/strong> to adjust the shape of the mask just a bit by pulling the lower left corner down and to the left, the lower right corner just over more to the right.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-34086\" src=\"https:\/\/gingerscraps.net\/gsblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/16-500x269.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"323\" srcset=\"https:\/\/gingerscraps.net\/gsblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/16-500x269.jpg 500w, https:\/\/gingerscraps.net\/gsblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/16-768x413.jpg 768w, https:\/\/gingerscraps.net\/gsblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/16-1536x827.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/gingerscraps.net\/gsblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/16-875x471.jpg 875w, https:\/\/gingerscraps.net\/gsblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/16.jpg 1600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Then I moved the photo layer ON TOP of the mask and clipped it in place. I&#8217;m going to <strong>Clone<\/strong> the window, curtains and the top of her head to cover up all that pink that&#8217;s still visible from the mask.
