\u00a0Hello My Friends!! \u00a0I’m so excited to be here today. \u00a0The snow is gone (although rumors have it that it will be back later this week) and the weather is warm (but yet again, it’s New England…it won’t last long). \u00a0I have some great new friends I want to introduce you to. \u00a0Gosh, I have no idea who to start with. \u00a0They are both fantastic. \u00a0I was fans of them both before they were here. \u00a0I’m so excited I can share them with you.<\/p>\n

While I was looking, oh I mean, researching (yeah, researching sounds better) about Jenn, this is what I found out:<\/p>\n

Isn’t her stuff awesome? \u00a0I have someone else I want to introduce you to that is just as awesome. \u00a0This designer I’ve always admired from a far (and no, it has nothing to do with a restraining order…lol). \u00a0She is fun to talk with might be just as happy to be here as we are to have her. \u00a0I still think I’m a little bit more happy about it though.<\/p>\n

I asked Jill to tell me a little bit about herself. \u00a0This is what she had to say!<\/p>\n

\u00a0I \u00a0am SOOoo excited to be \u00a0joining the GingerScraps team!!<\/em><\/p>\n

I’m \u00a0a 40-something YO SAHM, \u00a0with wonderful hubby, Paul, and 2 terrific \u00a0teen-agers (one is 19 and in \u00a0college \u00a0already! \u00a0I can’t believe how FAST \u00a0it goes!). \u00a0Daughter Eliza \u00a0is pursuing a nursing degree\/career. \u00a0Son, \u00a0David, age 15, is into \u00a0weight-lifting\/body-building, and you would NEVER \u00a0guess he’s only 15 \u00a0looking at him – he looks like a college football \u00a0player, at least! \u00a0 Both kids were home-schooled until 9th grade, when they started \u00a0high-school. \u00a0There was no way I could provide all of the opportunities \u00a0and electives once we hit high-school age, so I decided to retire.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

I’m also mom to 1 spoiled and neurotic cocka-poo \u00a0(cute but bark-y dog) \u00a0and 1 pampered Egyptian Queen disguised as a Siamese kitty. \u00a0But don’t \u00a0tell her she’s “just a cat”… \u00a0she is sure that she is the ruler of our \u00a0home!<\/em><\/p>\n

I’ve \u00a0been digi-scrapping since \u00a0early 2005, as far as I can figure out. \u00a0I \u00a0started with Photo-Shop \u00a0Elements 3 (back when that was the newest \u00a0version! LOL!) and about a \u00a0year later I graduated to Photoshop CS2 \u00a0(brand-new at the time) because \u00a0I knew I wanted to learn to design \u00a0digi-kits, and most of the \u00a0tutorials I found at that time (for making \u00a0kit elements) were for PS, \u00a0not Elements. \u00a0I love the creative freedom \u00a0that Photoshop allows, and \u00a0now I also use Illustrator, which I also \u00a0really love! \u00a0I am so happy \u00a0(and lucky!) to have a husband who is \u00a0supportive of my addiction. These days I use PSCS5 and Illustrator. \u00a0I love some of the new tools that Adobe has come out with! \u00a0I also make cutting files for Silhouette\/Cricut etc. digital cutters, and am \u00a0hoping to expand that collection in the near future. \u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

I am inspired by beautiful color combinations, mostly. \u00a0Also inspired by just plain-old-everyday real-life events, and needing to scrap them! \u00a0Often when I make a kit, I have some family photos in mind that I want to scrap with. \u00a0And then sometimes I’ll just see a photo in a magazine, or a cute dress, or something else that catches my eye, and I think “I have to make a kit like that!”<\/em><\/p>\n

Lately, \u00a0I’ve been on a \u00a0bread-baking spree, and trying many different recipes \u00a0for \u00a0soft-and-fluffy buns, English Muffins, sour-dough, \u00a0Honey-Whole-Wheat \u00a0bread (my fav), and more. \u00a0I even ordered a special \u00a0kind of yeast \u00a0from Amazon – \u00a0one that you cannot typically find in \u00a0normal grocery \u00a0stores, but it works SOOooo well! \u00a0(It’s called “SFA Yeast” for any who are curious – and I also add extra gluten as well, which gives me great results.)<\/em><\/p>\n

I am also a musician, playing \u00a0piano\/keyboard, banjo, \u00a0percussion (bongos, congas, djembe, etc.) and \u00a0played in a large \u00a0(contemporary) church band for over 15 years. \u00a0I \u00a0decided about a year \u00a0ago to step away from that “for a while” \u00a0(indefinitely?), and I \u00a0am really enjoying not having to get up early on \u00a0Sundays to go practice and \u00a0play!! \u00a0\ud83d\ude42<\/em><\/p>\n

So first I need to say…the banjo? Seriously? \u00a0My husband is dying to learn. \u00a0Jill…want to come over to my house? \u00a0Please?!?! \u00a0How cool would it be to hang out with Jill….would you all be jealous? \u00a0Well we can’t have that. \u00a0PARTY AT MY HOUSE!!<\/p>\n
