Good Summer Morning, Digi Friends!!!

I don’t know about you, but the heat is ON here in Philly, and I am not happy about triple digit numbers with no breeze. Yikes!!! But it has given me a good reason to stay in the house and scrap a little here, scrap a little there, do some hybrids, check out the Gingerscraps forum, and get inspired again! The heat is also on me as I am  in the middle of planning a school counseling conference event happening next week, and scrapping seems to side track me easily! (Remind me to tell April I won’t be in town or on the blog next Wednesday! wink wink!)

As the summer continues, I find that I need to be better about taking pictures of the kids. I have two kids now. It was easier with one to bring the camera and putz around with it. Now that there are two young ones, I seem to forget the camera. And my second child has “second child syndrome” where there are very few photos of him! My goal for the rest of the summer will be to take more photos of both kids, at least on weekends, whether we are in the house or out and about.

And I will tell you, that this week’s sneak peeks are inspiring me to do just that, so I can use what is coming on Friday to the Gingerscraps Store! Whoo hoo!

I would LOVE to get out there in the wilderness, but you know, sometimes my house is a bit on the wild side….Loving these trees and camp gear in here!

As I type this, we have a storm a brewing and my lights are flickering. I just may need to grab that lantern you see up there!

Hello Digi Friends!

Here we are in the dog days of summer! My family is on vacation in my home town and we have met many a dog while hanging around here. We’ve met a beautiful Great Dane named Grimm at the BMX bike race, we met a tiny dog name Joe who was found a desert, and we met Henry, a bulldog down the street. It has literally been the Dog Days of summer for us! We don’t have a dog, so this has been exciting for my kids 🙂

Good Morning, Digi Friends! I’ve been away for a week in beautiful Minneapolis at a conference, and am back and ready to roll with some fantabulous sneak peeks for you all!  I do hope you all had a wonderful Fourth of July holiday (I’m still singing Katy Perry’s “Baby, You’re a Firecracker” in my head!) and enjoyed whatever it was you did, back yard bbq, swimming, picnic in the park, a parade, camping, the zoo, or whatever it was! You’re probably going to have loads of photos to scrap now, too! And I have just the thing to show you!!!!

Though this is not a Sneak Peek, I have to point you to The GingerScraps July Buffet which is just fabulous!!! I have a hankering for alllllllll of it! Yummy!!!!  This buffet will take you where you want to go and show where you’ve been!  Check it out! There are soooooo many fab parts to it by all our fab designers who have been busy busy busy these days creating this for you! I just love it!

This buffet sure says “hit the road” to me!  What a great buffet for scrapping our vacations with! But heck, I am using it for documenting the process of our international adoption story, even.

What a beautiful buffet for capturing all those adventures throughout the year! Ha! I can see me making cute luggage tags out of this kit, especially with taht map paper,  for my family members, even! There is just so much you can do with this! Yee haw!!!

I hope you are having a wonderful week so far! It is feeling alot like spring here, and even like summer. I love it when the sun stays out a bit longer each evening, I love the smell of fresh cut grass and of the flowers blooming in the yard, and I love the sound of crickets at dusk. Soon, in a few more weeks, we will start seeing fire flies in the yard. I just love spring turning into summer. People come out, and we see our neighbors and their children more often. It’s so nice to be outside! So when I am inside, I take a look around Gingerscraps to see what’s new…and I just love to see what’s cookin’ here in the Gingerscraps kitchen, too!

Good Morning, Scrappers!

I hope you were able to enjoy some, if not all, of iNSD weekend here at Gingerscraps! What a blast we had chatting with each other, doing scavenger hunts, guessing which designer went with which baby picture, posting in the gallery, and even playing truth or dare! There were numerous speed scraps, chats, and tons of fun give aways in the forum too! Oh my gosh! I have never had so much fun on my computer in my life! The Gingerbread Ladies really did a great job at cooking up loads of awesome fun for everyone!

And…they’re still busy cookin’ up stuff for us! Gee whiz, Ladies! You’re all so amazing and wonderful! Let’s see what’s cookin’ this week…

Hey Hey Hey!!! It’s my favorite day of the week again! Peek A Boo Thursday!!! I love love love getting to see glimpses of what is coming to the Gingerscraps store, don’t you!?

And yes, I am feeling tons better than last week, thank you! I feel so good, that I can’t wait to shop again!!!! I love to shop. I absolutely love it. I shop for shoes, I shop for house stuff, I shop for clothes for me and the kids, I shop for the best bargain, I shop for gifts, I shop for things that help me bring out the creative side of me, like antiques, architectural salvage materials, and my favorite, Digital Scrapbooking Supplies! Oh how I love shopping for Digi Stuff! I don’t need a shelf to keep it on, I don’t need to worry if I leave the lid open or the scissors out, or if the cat will get into it. Oh, how freeing!!!

But I will tell you why I love to shop. I love to be INSPIRED. I am inspired creatively by the things around me, that surround me every day, and by what is new to me. When I am inspired creatively, I am better able to be creative in my job, at home, with my kids, with the organizations I am involved in, and feel more balanced and productive.  No, I am not rationalizing my shopping habit. Well, maybe. But when you come to Gingerscraps you cannot help but to be INSPIRED by the fantabulous designers and their Creative Teams!

And I like that my scrapping closet doesn’t need to worry about being messy, or over flowing.  I have a good system of organizing my files so everything is at the ready, so I’m good to go!  Hi!  Guess what tomorrrow is?  It’s Sister Day!  Well maybe not technically, but this is what my sister-in-law and I call it when we get together without our families.  Tomorrow we will be going to the movies to finally see The Hunger Games.  I know, we are probably the last people on the planet that saw it, but this was our first free weekend.  I’m super excited to sit in a movie theatre without little ones needing to use the bathroom every 5 minutes.  What are your plans?  Well I have some ideas for you that involve our store and some computer time!  Whatever your plans are I hope they are fun!  Know what else is fun?  (Gosh I’m awful at segways…lol)
