Connection Keeping

BIO:

Hi GingerScraps Community, thank you so much for having me here. My name is Kelly and I design under the name Connection Keeping, because that is what scrapbooking has been for our family. We have four kids – an elementary school-aged kid, a middle schooler, a high schooler and a freshman in college. I’ve been digital scrapbooking since 2015 and I make family yearbooks every year that are a mix of pocket scrapbooking and traditional scrapbooking. On any given week, one of my kids can be seen with one of the yearbooks on their lap looking through it. It gives them the ability to remember the fun times, the family activities, their accomplishments and to see how far they have come. My latest obsession is adding QR codes to our book. I have been a stay-at-home mom for the past 18 years, but once upon a time I was an engineer and then a middle school math teacher. I love learning new things and drawing so when I discovered digital scrapbook designing in 2020 I was hooked. I truly hope that you enjoy the designs and I look forward to seeing the beautiful layouts and art and memories you create with them.

My name is Wendy and I’m the creative force behind WM[squared] Designs. I started digital scrapbook design whilst living in California. Laura Burger’s Bio:

I never planned to be a designer, but it all started in 2006, and I have not looked back. I am self-taught in Photoshop, work a bit in Illustrator, and ProCreate, and I will say I believe I was born an artist at heart. I am thrilled to be teaming up with Marianne this year as she brings a different flair to the product. We have been best friends for 50 years, and I could not ask for a better partner in business. I have been married to my best buddy for the last 27 years, and we live in the country on 2 ½ acres in Northern Arizona. We ran a business that we have thus retired from after 25 years, and therefore I am free to design or play with my abstract art anytime, day or night. We each have grown adult children that have blessed us with four grandchildren. As for pets, we are a bit odd as we have a feral outdoor beautiful siamese cat, an indoor black kitty, one wild turkey (Lucy), two tamer turkeys, and one chicken that thinks she is a turkey.

Marianne’s Bio:

I have been an active graphic artist for 30+ years. Most of my experience has been designing packaging, logos, and creating websites. I am happily married to my best friend and I have a daughter that just graduated from UCLA in Graphic Design. I am lucky enough to be designing with my best friend of over 50 years and I look forward to this new venture!

Bio:
In 2009, after my first son was born, I started looking online for digital scrapbooking ideas. I had no idea it was even called “digital scrapbooking” at the time, I just wanted to utilize my design skills (I’m a graphic designer by profession) and make him a baby book. I was blown away by all the products and layouts I found. After creating some pages of my own I realized how therapeutic scrapbooking can be as a gratitude practice. I’m not a particularly prolific scrapper but I do go back to it again and again. Over the last year or so I have been making my own products and selling them on my website and now I’m thrilled to be selling at GingerScraps!
