Challenge Spotlight – Signature Challenge

Hey ladies! Can you believe it’s already April? After this month, an entire quarter of 2013 will be over–crazy to think about!  Winter is officially over (at least in Texas where we’re already getting 80 degree sunny days) and spring has sprung.  Right now, pastels and flowers are all the rage. This week I am spotlighting the signature challenge hosted by Theresa of Simple Girl Scraps. For this month, we’re to create a seasonal forum signature with flowers. With all the beautiful spring kits we have in the store right now, this should be an easy one!

Here are some of the lovely signatures we’ve got for April so far:

That’s it for this week. Don’t forget the Bake Sale is going on right now through Friday and we’ve got TONS of goodies for just $1! See y’all next week!

Sneak Peek

Hi everybody how is everyone doing?  We are finally thawing out from the latest snow that we had this past weekend.  I can honestly say I’m ready for some nice spring weather.  I know a lot of kids are on Spring break this week, but not us.  We are still in school till Friday.  I know the kids and I are looking forward to some down time next week.  Of course this time next week I’ll be ready for school to start back.  We are looking forward to our Church service and the kids are excited about the Easter bunny coming.  I am too; I just love all the chocolate bunnies, heehee.

OK so let’s get to all the lovely layouts that I have to share with you all this week.

I am in love with this kit from Luv Ewe Designs and Blue Heart Scraps.  I think it looks fantastic and I can’t wait to get my hot little hands on it!!!  I love the colors and the elements are perfect for most of my pictures. The word art is super, did I mention that I am in love with what I see…

This one is using a template by Trixie Scraps isn’t it wonderful:)

Well that’s about it for here.  Make sure you check out the store on Friday so you can see the entire kit!  I hope everyone has a wonderful Easter (for those that celebrate) and for everyone else I hope you have a great rest of the week.  I hope the weather where you are is beautiful and you all get to spend time with family and friends.

I’ll see ya in April:)

Challenge Spotlight – Buffet Challenge

Hello, beautiful scrapping ladies. 🙂 I hope this blog finds you well and at the start of a great week! My spring break is over and sadly, I didn’t enough of a break to do much scrapping! If you find yourself in the same boat, now’s your last reminder to wrap up this month’s challenges! All completed challenges are due for credit on the 31st, so make sure you get those last-minute scraps done. Here’s an easy one that I always like, the buffet challenge hosted this month by Isabel of Crisdam Designs. This month’s buffet, Lucky Me, is chock full of bright greens, pretty rainbows, shamrocks and more! Definitely one of my favorites! Here are just a few of the lovely pieces our designers created this month:

Love those vibrant colors for the upcoming spring season and holidays!  I can see it used for those St. Paddy’s pictures, maybe some sunny Easter memories or any day you’re feeling especially lucky. 🙂 There are lots of layouts for inspiration in the gallery; here are some challenge layouts I especially liked…

I have a few layouts to share with you today.  I have seen some of the kits that are being released on Friday and they are totally AWESOME!!!  You need to make sure you stop by and see them.

I love the great colors in this layout.  It is so bright and fun and reminds me of Spring.  Kathy Winters did a fabulous job, I love everything about it!  The frame from Pretty In Green is so cool.  I can’t wait to play with these they are so versatile and gives your layout such a finished look.

Here is another layout using the frames from Pretty In Green. Love it!!!

This new kit from Connie Prince is super especially if you have Sea World pictures.  I had the luxury of working with this kit ans it is super!!!  Here are  a few pages that really show off the cuteness of the elements and papers.

Well, that’s all I have for today.  Make sure you check back in on Friday to see ALL the new goodies that are being released.  I hope everyone has a great rest of the week and weekend.  I’ll see ya next week 🙂

Challenge Spotlight – Word Art Challenge

Hey y’all! How is everyone’s week going? I am simply EXHAUSTED. This weekend just flew by with all the green festivities–so glad this week is my spring break because I am in dire need of letting my brain get some rest! I do plan on getting some scrapping done this week, too and what better place to start than with a challenge?! 🙂

This week I am spotlighting a fun little challenge that comes with a freebie: the word art challenge hosted by Bekah of Bekah E Designs! I really like the cute freebie WA Bekah has created for us to work with this month; take a look!

I love mixing script and block fonts when I do my own title work, the contrast is always so pretty and lends itself to all kinds of layouts, so you can safely assume I like this WA. 😉 I guess I’m not the only who likes it, because we’ve already got several pages posted in the forum using it! In need of some inspiration? Here you go…

I picked these three so you could see the different techniques that have been used with this one WA: layering in papers, flooding in colors and keeping it as-is! Of course, they’re all beautiful and coordinate perfectly!  Do you love versatile word art as much as I do? 😉 These layouts are gorgeous, ladies! Make sure you take a second to leave them some love in the gallery. 🙂

The month is coming to a close soon–just under two weeks and we’ll be in April…EEK! Don’t forget to get your challenges tallied up in the March Challenge Points Tracking thread. You’ll want to make sure you get credit for all your completed challenges so you can snag a nifty reward at the end of the month. 🙂

That’s it for me–see y’all next week! 🙂

sneak peek 3-14-13

Good Morning scrappers!

As I sit here on this beautiful morning enjoying my cup of caramel coffee with a touch of dark chocolate mocha I have to honestly say I am not fully awake.  I can’t seem to grasp that March is already half way through being done.  Where have the days gone?  It has been so nice having the days a little longer and all our song birds have been welcoming us every morning with beautiful songs.  I really think it is my favorite time of day.   Well enough about all that I only have a few layouts to share with you today, but no worries because they are gorgeous as always.

The first one up is a beautiful Easter layout using Pretty in Greens new kit.  I love the soft colors and the sweet little elements.  That bunny and chick are just too cute!

I have another two page layout that is also using Pretty in Green’s new kit and also Connie Prince’s March Templatopipa. I LOVE the dark purple against the softer colors and having the double page is just wonderful for a photo book . I love all the photos and it really is a great way to show them all off.  The soft colors and really look great with them.

Well, that’s what I have for you for today.  Make sure you check the store tomorrow for all the wonderful goodies that are coming out tomorrow.  I hope everyone has a great day and a super weekend.  I hope you all have beautiful weather and don’t forget to take some pictures so you can share your pages and preserve your memories!!!
