Fresh Baked: June 01, 2016

It’s June! The month of summer, fathers, and plenty of ice cream. The designers are ready for summer, and it’s obvious in the products that they’re working on. It’s very clear in this month’s buffet pieces! So many new goodies! Have a great week and we’ll see you again on Friday!

The designers all had their own take on what the colors and theme said to them! I love the variety!

The designers definitely each made the palette their own and came up with some gorgeous designs, each unique but working so well with the other designers’ creations

The CT did such a great job showing how well all of the kits blend. They all did wonderful work!

This month, we are welcoming two new guest designers! Before I share about them, though, I wanted to let you know that our May designers are STAYING as permanent designers! Give big welcomes to Neverland Scraps and Keley Designs

We asked Mags to tell us a big about herself and this is what she had to share:

Hey GS!
I’m so excited to be guesting in JUNE!! I have been such a huge fan of GS and its designers for a long time. Happy to have the chance to join the fun here! Thank you, Ginger, for having me!

I’m Mags (MagsGraphics) – I’m a former 1st grader teacher – turned – SAHM of two boys. I’ve been scrapbooking in some form or another since I was 15 years old (… that makes 28 years of scrapping so far!!!). My very first albums consisted of construction paper albums, Elmer’s glue, and quotes cut from magazines. When I went to my very first Creative Memories party, the CM Consultant did such a good sales job that I bought just about everything, went home, ripped apart all of my early albums, and then re-made everything with acid-free materials! In 2007, I stumbled across a now-defunct digital scrapbooking place and realized I could ditch the rolling cart with all of that paper, stickers, cutters, and adhesives for a easy-to-carry-laptop!

I’m also a huge nerd… Buffy the Vampire Slayer…. Harry Potter…. Twilight…. Walking Dead… I such a geek!

Anyway – that’s me in a nutshell!

Here’s what she had to share with us:

I’m Lyndsay Riches, mom of 2 girls ages 13 & 15. We live in Ontario, Canada, about an hour south of Toronto. I love to read, paint, cook and am also a teeny bit of a video game addict (Fallout 4, Elder Scrolls Online, Skyrim are some faves!) I love music and am a huge Beatles fan. I’ve been a graphic designer in the print industry for about 16 years now, and got my first start at digital scrapbook designing in late 2003, before which I was a traditional (paper) scrapper and taught classes at the scrapbook store in our town.
