Let’s Celebrate – Christmas!

CHRISTMAS!! It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year!! For those of us who celebrate, we are in the full swing of the holiday! Is your tree up? As in Christmas is in two days!! Are your stocking hung with care? How about that shopping? Is it done; and what about…scrapping those memories?!  For me…yes, yes, done, and working on it. 🙂 Please tell me that I am not the only ones still scrapping Christmas photos from years past. I am talking like 2012 here. So with that in mind, I am also stopping by to absolutely overwhelm your senses with all things Christmas and digital scrapbooking.

Since this will be a image heavy post, I am going to make the chatter short and sweet. All images are linked; and don’t forget we have a section just for Christmas in the store. Good Monday morning scrappers!! Can you believe that the end of the year is just a few short weeks away? That (if you celebrate) Christmas is just around the corner?! What happened to 2017?! It has flown by!! In thinking of how fast 2017 skipped on by, I got to thinking. We have not had a GingeerBread Girl highlight here on the blog in a while. So we are going to do just that.

For those who are not familiar with the titles around GingerScraps, a GingerBread Girl is a creative team member. Those ladies who work hard to bring all those kits you love to action. Today, we are going to pull a bit of inspiration from:

I was stalking the galleries and Alanna’s jumped out to me. She scraps with beautiful composition on everyone I saw. Her cluster work is amazing. I love clustering on layouts. I have to say a number of her layouts have made it to my inspiration board! She also has perfect shadow work; and she really knows how to use her scrap space. Be it a whitespace layout or a page full of digi-scrap goodies. Here are a few of my favorite from her gallery:

Let’s Celebrate – Summer!

Winter is just around the corner where I live. We actually don’t get much of a winter here though. Usually we just get a bit cold, and that is it. We hardly see any snow. When we do, it shuts us down. We just cannot handle it. Such is the life of the Southern parts of the States. That being said, it is heading into Summer for you guys in the Southern Hemisphere. With that in mind we are going to take a look at a lot of the great Summer things we have in the store to scrap those layouts. I am a cold weather loving gal. Looking at all these Summer goodies though makes me miss those long summer nights and the swimming pool.

Let’s Celebrate – Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is next week here in the States; and was last month in Canada. I don’t know about you, I never scrap my photos right after I take them. I usually sit on them for a while. Today is Veteran’s Day here in the states. What is Veteran’s Day?

In the USA it is observed annually on November 11, that honors military veterans; that is, persons who served in the United States Armed Forces. It coincides with other holidays, including Armistice Day and Remembrance Day, celebrated in other countries that mark the anniversary of the end of World War I.

Veterans deserved to be celebrated!! Not just celebrated, but scrapped! Here at GingerScraps there is a great amount of digital scrapbooking supplies to scrap the Military folks in your life. Let’s Celebrate – Being Sick!

Well, let’s not actually celebrate it. Being sick stinks! I had the flu this past week. Man-oh-man! I am 34 years old and never had the flu before. I am usually a trooper when sick. Do all the mom things! No extra sleep! Take some pills and keep moving! Not with the flu. I was out of commission for days!! That did get me to thinking though. Sometimes even those yucky and sick moments need to be scrapped. Our designers here at GingerScraps has just what you need to scrap them too!

Little ones always seem to have boo-boos and owies. I wanted a kit that had child friendly colors, reflecting how the children’s hospitals work hard to make it as pleasant as possible for the children who have to be there.

Let’s Celebrate – Halloween!

Good morning all! It is that time of year again. For those who celebrate, Halloween will be here before we know it. I bounce back-and-forth between Halloween and Christmas being my favorite holiday. Looking at my stash, you would think it was Halloween. I just have to have all of them! I keep telling myself, “You have plenty of Halloween goodies, La’Shawn!” Then…I buy more. I am excited to share with you all today the fun Halloween goodies we have here at GingerScraps. I should have posted this on Saturday. The weekend got away from me. Creative Style : Scrapping with Orange

Hello scrappers. Today we are going to take a look at a creative style. Well, let me honest. It isn’t really a style so much as getting some inspiration from color.

There are many things that can make a layout stand out in the gallery. What grabs one person’s attention might not grab another’s. I could write multiple blog posts about what grabs mine. That being said, seeing a layout that has predominantly one color always grabs my attention. I originally picked this color because I felt like it was the most neglected of colors in the digital scrapbooking world. Except for one time of the year. Plus I am not overly a fan of it. Boy was I wrong! I think as far as Creative Style Color blog post, this was the most difficult. Not for what I thought…because it was so difficult to narrow down the huge selection GingerScraps’ store has to offer. Here we go…Let us get some inspiration from the color orange.

We are going to take a look at some pretty orange images, and the latest orange filled goodies from the store. If those do not do it for you, make sure you check out past Buffets!  A lot of those have orange all through them! As you can see from the list below… We like orange around here!

As you can see, I had a difficult time narrowing down the items to show you all. Normally I go with a nice round number of 10. I couldn’t stop! It is that time of the year again where I live. All things scary, orange and black are coming out. Personally Halloween is one of my most favorite holidays! If you looked at my digital scrapbooking stash, you would agree! I have never met a Halloween digital scrapbooking goody that didn’t holler (spookily I might add. lol) for me to buy it.
