GingerBread Girl Inspiration: Atusia

It is that time again scrappers! The time we take just a moment out of our day to get some inspiration from one of our lovely CT members. Otherwise known as a GingerBread Girl. Today, we are going to take a look at the talented Atusia. Or Beata. 🙂

We are going to take a look at some of her beautiful layouts below. Some of, just a few, that caught my eye. Don’t take my word for it though. Seriously. Make sure you go check out her gallery. Ever lacking in some digital scrapbooking mojo, look no further! Beata really knows how to use a kit! Her layouts are beautifully clusters and have that whimsical look to them. I couldn’t scrap like that if I tried..she does it masterfully!

Good morning scrappers. Today is Labor day here in the states. That is usually our signal that Summer is coming to an end and Fall is around the corner. GingerBread Girl Inspiration: trina513

Today we are going to show you some inspiration from one of our very own GingerBread Girls! She isn’t just any GingerBread Girl!! She is one of the creative team leads. If you are asking what is a GingerBread girl, let me explain who they are. They are GingerScraps creative team. The ladies who bring you inspiration week-after-week using the GingerScraps’ designers latest and greatest designs.

Here are a few of Trina’s layouts that just jumped out of the gallery and grabbed me. Trina has a very clean and no-nonsense way of scrapping. Her layouts are scrapped in a way that the focus is on her great photos. Most all her layouts have journaling on them. Great composition, perfect element choices and placement, and just the right papers really make Trina’s layout standout and show off the memories. Here are just a few of those layouts. Let’s Celebrate! Back to School!

Happy Monday everyone! Did this Monday bring your school age kiddos going back to school? Are you going back to school? Are you a teacher who is getting ready for back to school? Well, it is that time of the year! My son starts back on Wednesday. I am having a bit of a hard time wrapping my mind around the summer being over and him being in the 2nd grade. sigh. That being said, you know as us scrappy mom’s we are going to have some adorable 1st day of school photos to scrap! Not to mention the school supply/clothes shopping, meeting the teachers, and more.

I am here today to make the back-to-school digital scrapbooking shopping a little easier for you!

Lost At Sea Week Three

Good morning scrappers! It is that time of week where we take a look at the past week’s Survivor layouts. We just finished week 3!

So what was Week 3’s challenge?

While you wait to see if your message in a bottle finds its way to a willing savior, you have continued to put on your pirate disguise each day. You are blending in quite well, and actually learning some very interesting things about these pirates.

One buccaneer told you that the pirate captain has a treasure hidden on his ship, it is said to be a huge booty of doubloons and rare gems! He wants to get a crew together to steal the treasure. This sounds like risky business to you, the last thing you need is to get wrapped up in some crime with a band of pirates! You wish the buccaneer luck and move along.

As you walk away you begin to think about your own life, and your treasures. If you were to make a treasure chest, what prized possessions would you stowaway?

Week 3 – {Booty} *The Challenge*
This layout is all about your own “booty”. If you were to put your most prized possessions in a treasure chest, what would they be?

It is that time of the week! Well, it will be while Survivor Lost At Sea is going!! We take a look back at some of the layouts from week 2. You guys, once again, have made my job really difficult. I am going to have to start choosing more-and-more layouts with the coming weeks!

Week 2- {Message in a Bottle} *The Challenge*
This layout is all about your “message in a bottle”. You need to write a letter to the person you think (or you wish) would come to your rescue. This person can be living or passed on, they can be a person you know, or someone that you wish would save you (like Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson).

I really enjoyed looking through the layouts & reading all the messages in the bottle. I am a huge fan of journaling pages. So, this was right up my alley!! Here are just a few of the stand out layouts from week two’s challenge. (all images are linked to the gallery. You know, so you can go leave the love!)

Such great takes on the challenge, right?! You can go to the gallery to read the message in the bottle for all of them but Little Rad Trios. Her’s you can read pretty well off the layout. The rest have them typed out in the credits. They are worth the read!! Make sure you are getting your layouts up in the gallery before the deadline. By doing so, not only do you take the chance of going on to the next week, you get the chance to be showcased here!! Happy Scrapping!!

Scrapping Survivor’s Week 1 Layouts

Good afternoon srappers! If you were not aware, Scrapping Survivor is in full swing right now! If you haven’t gotten your week 1 layout done, you have until tomorrow to do so! Make sure you get those in. Week one’s challenge is to, scrap yourself and or your family and friends in your best pirate disguise. ( Click HERE for the full rules). We were scouring the gallery and you guys are blowing this challenge away!! Here are layouts for week 1 to get your creative juices flowing.

Last Day for Sign Ups!

Hello scrappers!! Tomorrow is the last day for 2015 Scrapping Survivor. Lost at Sea.

What is Scrapping Survivor? It is weekly challenges, starting July 21st and a whole lot of fun. Make sure you run over to the forum and sign up. Sign ups deadline is July 19 (Sunday). Scrapping Survivor is a scrapping competition, this is the 6th season. Each season we “travel” to a far off destination. Season One we were lost in Paradise, Season Two we went to the Jungle, Season Three we got stuck in Grandma’s Attic, Season Four we were stuck in Oz, Season Five we were at the Digi-County Fair, and this year……
We are going to be *Lost At Sea*!

Throughout the weeks, there will be Immunity Challenges. These Immunity Challenges are usually very fast paced! If you are lucky enough to win an Immunity Challenge, you are safe from that weeks vote out.
Every Weekly Challenge and Immunity Challenge has specific rules. ALWAYS READ THE RULES!! It is an awful shame when a player must be eliminated because they did not read the rules carefully enough.

GingerBread Girl Inspiration: craftytam

Have you checked out our team page? If you haven’t, you should! I’ve been known to go there tiem-to-time when my mojo has gone on vacation. You can find links to store, galleries, and more there. Today though, we are going to focus on one of the GingerBread Girls. That is what the creative team members here at GS are called.

Today’s GingerBread Girl that we are going to check out is craftytam.

Tammy (if you didn’t catch that by her forum name) is someone I want to scrap like when I grow up! I love well done cluster work and she takes the cake! You want to see what I am talking about, right? Let us take a look a just a few of Tammy’s great layouts!

Are they not lovely?! Of course one of the main things that stand out from her layouts is the great cluster work. Wonderful shadowing and knowing just where to tuck elements in to make it appealing to the eye, isn’t always easily done. Tammy makes them look just that, easy!

What else is noticeable about her layouts is that she doesn’t shy away from bold colors and fun patterns. Sometimes people are scared from a stand out and shout at you patterned paper. Tammy knows how to take those kinds of papers and make them work for her. And of course, great photos!!
