Fresh Baked News! 8/1

It’s August!! Do your kids (grandkids) go back to school this month? Mine do. In fact mine go back in 5 weeks from today. I’m not counting though. That is 29 days, but once again I’m not counting. Things are just getting busy right now and I’m not completely sure why. I’ve been trying to figure out what clothes the boys have and what they will need for school. Although we won’t get the school supply list until a week before school starts, I need to start figuring out clothes (who will wear what and if it fits).

Once again I have a great transition for you – ready for it? “I know what will fit all of you! Some fantastic deals with have going on here at GingerScraps” See? I’m so bad at transitions..lol.

I also have some really HUGE news. Like seriously HUGE. Keep reading, you DON”T want to miss out.

Since it is the first of the month you know what that means right? That’s right it is our $1 Bake Sale!!

One thing that is always in the $1 Bake sale is our monthly Buffet kits! This month’s theme is Summer Cottage! The designers had so much fun this month making the kit and you can totally tell.

Now that we got that out of the way I have to tell you about our Guest Designer! This month our guest designer is Sugar Pie Scraps!!

We are so excited to have her with us! We asked Crystal to tell us a bit about herself and this is what she had to say

My name is Crystal and I am married to the love of my life, Rusty. We live in the south and we have an adorable son named Landen who was born on August 14, 2008. I call him Mommy’s “Sugar Pie” (I’m sure he will love that as he gets older) so that is where I came up with my designer name “Sugar Pie Scraps” because my son is my inspiration for scrapping.

I started paper scrapbooking when I was pregnant with my son. I was on an online mommy board and started making siggies (signature tags). I loved it and then I came across digital scrapbooking. I started digiscrapping around October 2009 and never looked back. I am completely addicted LOL.

I love designing but I also love being a Creative Team member myself. I am blessed to be able to work with some fabulous designers.

I started designing in April 2010 and I was addicted in no time. I have a fabulous Creative Team, the “Sugar Pie Chefs”.

We have been getting to know eachother in the private designer forum at GS, and I know you are all going to just love her! She is a perfect addition to the GingerSraps family!!

Here is a little bit more about her…..

She is a 32, stay at home mom to 6 year old twin girls. Which is obviously how she got her design name.

She paper scrapped for over 10 years before she found digital scrapbooking.
She got really into digital scrapbooking after she broke her back in an auto accident in 2007.
During a painful recovery, she couldn’t do much else, but sit on the couch with her laptop. So she scrapped and scrapped!
Then she wanted to know how the amazing designers were creating such beautiful kits.
She reached out to a few designers for some tips and she was on her way. She considers herself a self-taught designer.
So she has been designing since 2008 or so and hasn’t looked back…and can’t go a day without her laptop!!!

Isn’t she so sweet?!?!

Fresh Baked! 6/1

Happy June 1st! Kinda feels like summer hearing that huh? Are your kids (grandkids) out of school for the summer? It seems like everyone I talk to has started their summer vacation. Us though? Nope. Not even close. My guys go until June 24th…so close yet so far away. Luckily for them the last few weeks are filled with field trips (one is actually today), field day (photo ops!), and picnics. Almost seems like a waste but at least I’ll have lots of chances to take pictures.

I know you didn’t come here to listen to me ramble about the last few weeks of school. You came here to find out what is new this month. Let’s jump right in and…..

I’m sorry everyone. Ever since I sat down to start working on the newsletter Ginger has been trying to jump in here to talk to you. I suppose since she is the boss I will give her a minute to talk to you. Don’t worry, I gave her a time limit there is just so much I want to tell you about. OK! OK! Ginger – your turn!!

Hi wonderful GingerScraps family 🙂

I wanted to thank you all for your continued support! I know it is hard when our GingerBread Ladies leave us. Saying goodbye to Ellie and Joelle (Daphadilly) is hard for us all. And I am so sad to announce that Michaela (Marshmella) will also be retiring from her design career. There comes a point in a designers career where they just need a break, sometimes the break ignites their passion once again and they come back better than ever, and sometimes they discover a new exciting adventure to pursue. Our doors will stay open to all of them, should they ever decide to return to Digi Scrap Design, and they have all have promised to keep in touch.

Now lets find the silver lining……

Fresh Baked and News! 4/1

Happy April Fools Day!! I know I’m supposed to start the newsletter with an April Fools joke but really I couldn’t think of one. I could tell you the ones my kids tell me. “Mommy, we cleaned our room. April Fools” or “Mommy, I’m still sleeping. April Fools”. Yeah, I think they get their lack of sense of humor from me….hehe. Let’s talk now about this newsletter. There is just so much I need to share of you. We have some very exciting happening this month. This newsletter is so big I had to take notes to make sure I got everything included. So let’s just jump right in there!

Now this is no April Fool’s Joke. Guess who we have guesting with us this month? I’m so honored, and happy to tell you that Colie of Colie’s Corner is here! I know right?!?!?

Would you like to learn more about her? This is what she had to say about herself.

My name is Nicole, but everyone knows me as Colie a nick name I picked up as a kid that stuck. I’ve been married to my wonderful husband for almost eleven years, and we have two beautiful children ages ten and seven. I’m 31 years old and I have Full Time Job outside of the home but I started designing while I was a SAHM. To to keep busy when the kids weren’t keeping me busy I ventured into digital scrapbooking. It didn’t take long for me to get hooked, soon the love of scrapping turned to designing and in 2007 I started selling my designs. I love being able to give people building blocks for their layouts and craft projects and seeing a fished product with one of my kits just makes my day. I also love how I never stop learning as far as designing goes. With ever changing styles the digi scrap community keeps me on my toes.

Now since this newsletter is going to be HUGE today, let’s just keep going. Actually I have a story I would like to share with you first. When we first told our creative team that Connie Price was going to be guesting with us there was a lot of begging and pleading with her to stay. In fact, one ct member – I’m not going to say her name….but if I would it would be SARA….but I’m not going just to protect her identity – well “Sara” was so…well I don’t want to say desperate…but “Sara” was so desperate she tried to hypnotize Connie to stay. Can you imagine? Well something must have worked with that watch because CONNIE PRINCE IS NOW AT GINGERSCRAPS FOR GOOD, and she clucks like a chicken. New GingerBread Lady!! 3/16

Please pardon the interruption but there is some very exciting news that just can’t wait until Friday’s New Release newsletter. How do I know this can’t wait? Well, I’ve been spring cleaning my house. It started with the painting I told you about on Friday, then turned into closets, bathrooms, light fixtures, etc. Oh yes, I’ve been bitten by the spring cleaning bug. My house looks great, but me? I’m exhausted. Anyway, I stopped the cleaning to tell you this news!

We have a new designering joining us! Yup!! Ivonne (aka Craft-tastrophic Designs) is joining us!!

We asked her to tell us about herself and this is what she said:

Hi! My name is Ivonne and I´m the designer behind Craft-tastrophic Designs.

I live in Monterrey, Mexico and I´m a pediatrician. I´ve been married to Jorge almost for 14 years, plus 6 more as a couple, plus 4 more as friends. We have a beautiful daughter 5 years old who is the protagonist in almost every one of my LOs. I love everything craft!!! and in july 2009 started digital design and Craft-tastrophic was born…

Hi everyone, I’m Connie Prince and happy to be a March GingerScraps guest designer! I’m married to William (almost 15 years) and we have one son, Hayden, who is 13 years old. I am a native Georgian and I live just west of Atlanta in what I affectionately refer to as the sticks! We love country living and enjoy hiking the miles of trails behind our home where we spot occasional wild life like deer and wild turkey. I’m a full-time work from home designer and I love to scrapbook as well. Hi, everyone! My name is Ellie Lash. I’m a 36 year old SAHM mom to four-year-old twin boys, Adam and Luke. I’ve been married to my super sweet husband for almost 10 years. We live in sunny, hot Arizona, and while I don’t love the heat I do love almost everything else about living here. I’ve been designing since 2007 and I can’t remember what I ever did before I started! I LOVE scrapping and designing. I’m really excited about joining the wonderful team here at Ginger Scraps and can’t wait to dive in and get involved in the community!
