Bio: “My real name is Dasha. I am 37, Russian girl, a mother of 3 boys ( 13, 7 and 2), a happy wife, a teacher of English but I am on my maternity leave now (yaaay! LOL), and a movie addict. I am not new to the digi world (I started scrapping in 2008 and in 2010 I opened my first shop). A couple of years ago real life and real work became too busy for me that’s why I haven’t been scrapping or designing for some time) But I missed it so much and last year I came back! Happy to be here.”

Polka Dot Chicks

Bio: “Hello! My name is Tammy and I live in KC, MO where I was born and raised. I have been married to my sweetie for 21 years now. I am the oldest of 3 (2 younger brothers). I have 3 grown kids – Andy is a music teacher (KC, MO) and married; Matt is a property manager for luxury apartments (in Chicago, IL) and married and Shelby is the baby and only girl, is a photographer and is now a fashion photographer in Sioux Falls, South Dakota and married. I do have 3 nephews though! I have no grand babies yet but 8 grand-dogs! My kids and their dogs are usually the subject of my sample pages…

I have been designing since 2007 and started with my daughter, Shelby (the other ‘chick’) who was 13 at the time, now she is 25 and pursuing her dream in her dream job, fashion photographer. I hope you enjoy my designs…I tend to be a bit quirky sometimes and love to laugh…”

Fresh Baked: April 10, 2020

Is anyone else having problems remembering what day of the week it is? I’m working from home and making it a point to get dressed every day, but I find I’m having to make sure I update my planner daily to make sure I know what day it really is. I’m also struggling to remember that it’s Easter weekend. I’m sure I’m not the only one, so at least it’s good to have “friends” in the same state of mind.

Challenge Spotlight – A Year of Blessings and Template #1

Hi fellow scrappers.  Hope your week is starting off well.

Today we’re focusing on the A Year Of Blessings Challenge and the first Template Challenge.

First up is the A Year of Blessings Challenge. This month it is hosted by Luv Ewe Designs. Her challenge to us was to scrap flowers. That is a perfect subject for me because my husband loves to photograph flowers. While we were vacationing in Lake Lure, NC in Jnue of 2018, we got to experience their Flowering Bridge. It was a super experience. Here is my take on the challenge and a few others I’ve chosen from the gallery.

Next is one of my favorite challenges each month. The Template Challenge. There are two of these each month. This month the first challenge is hosted by Laurie’s Scraps. Look at this gorgeous template that she has provided for us to use.

I love working with templates so these fall right into my wheelhouse. I had a blast pulling out some older pictures of my kids. They are now much older than this.

Fresh Baked: March 27, 2020

Well, we made it through another week. This was my first week working totally from home and let me say – it’s weird. Add that some of my family forget I’m supposed to be working and want to chat. It appears it will be this way for the next 3 weeks for sure.
