New Gingerbread Lady- Pixelily Designs!!

Hello, lovely digi friends. I’m so excited today!! I get to introduce a new Gingerbread Lady!!

It has been a pleasure getting to know Lily! She is a wonderful addition to the GingerScraps family!! Lily wrote a few words to introduce herself to you all:

“I am Lily Kusumah, a SAHM mother with 2 boys 9 and 5 years old from Jakarta, Indonesia. I am married to my highschool sweetheart hubby. His job brought the family to move around the globe. We’ve been in India and Middle East before coming back to home country. I started designing in 2008, just for fun before I decided to become a designer in 2010 when I started selling as Pixelily Designs. It’s May 1st. Really. I promise. I’m telling you the truth. Can you believe it? What happened to April? We’re one-fifth of the way through twenty-twelve already. What sort of insanity is that?

There’s a lot of information and goodies to share with you today! I’m excited about everything. SO much is going to be happening! The Gingerbread Ladies outdid themselves, I’m telling you!

The first bit of news? Do you know what next weekend? It’s NSD!! National Scrapbooking Day is something we digital scrapbookers look forward to for so long. Or is that just me? Well, Gingerscraps has some amazing things planned for it!

The designers are hosting everything, and they’re pulling out all the stops!

70% off sale on Thursday and 50% Friday through Sunday. Some restrictions apply.

Every other hour, a speed scrap or chat will be going on. That means everyone will have a chance to join in on something!

Persnickety Prints has the best printing services around, and they’re getting into the swing of things for NSD, too, with amazing sales. I don’t know about you, but I think I’ll take advantage of this deal!!

The bake sale is going on now! Go! You have until the 5th of May to take advantage of some amazing $1 deals!! You never know what you’ll find on sale.

Also, just a quick note: the Bake Sale and May Buffet items are not going to be included in the 70% and 50% off sales for NSD.

Time for a new buffet. April Showers bring May Flowers, usually, but instead, at Gingerscraps, May isn’t about the flowers. No, we’re all about the babies. This buffet is perfect for all those baby-related layouts. There are also items related to adoption, so it’s perfect for all of those layouts, as well. May is also synonymous with Mother’s Day. Jen C. Designs

We asked Jen for a little bio, and this is what she told us:

Hi all! My name is Jen. I live in Belfast in the UK. I’ve been married for almost 6 years and we have two beautiful children – Luke and Charlotte. When not digi designing, I work as a web marketer and graphic designer for two local companies. Oh – and of course, playing with my kids! I stumbled into digi scrapping 2 years ago when I was on maternity leave and designing blogs for friends. I started on my first creative team shortly after and designing soon after that! I absolutely love it! I’m inspired by everything from interior decorating magazines to song lyrics, a photo of my kids to suggestions from my fans and creative team. If you ever have a suggestion for a kit or template idea, just let me know!

I can’t wait to get to know her better! And to see her designs, of course!

Oh wow, is it Friday already? Where did the week go? It seems like it was just yesterday, that I was writing last week’s Fresh Baked announcement. Wow.

We have so much going on behind the scenes here at GingerScraps!! National Scrapbooking Day is quickly approaching! If any of you are new to Scrapping, National Scrapbooking Day (NSD for short) is an event we look forward to all year long! It started out as one day, but grew into a whole WEEKEND! You will want to cook some meals ahead, find a baby sitter, and plan on being on your computer from dusk till dawn. The Gingerscraps Designers have some big plans for NSD weekend. May 4-6th are the official dates of the festivities…. but…. shhh I will let you in on a little secret, you will want to make sure you check in bit early 😉

*waves frantically* Hi! New person doing the newsletter. Shannon has moved onto another adventure. We’ve been promised that we’ll still see her in the forums from time to time, so I’m excited to see what life has in store for her! I’m taking over most of the writing stuff for the newsletter, the blog, and that good stuff.

Oh, darn it! I didn’t introduce myself, did I? I’m Sarah! I’m officially Ginger’s “Left Hand” 😀 That’s the little joke going around between the admins. A couple of them, I think, are her feet. She’s definitely the queen. Anyways, off-track here. You’ll find that I do that often. Anyways! (another thing I’ll do often) I’m Sarah. I’m a Hoosier-native (Indiana, USA, for those confused), formerly of Florida, and now in Kansas. Well, I’ve been here for eight years in July. Wow. I’m married to a local mail carrier, and we have two amazing kids.

I’ve been digi-scrapping for forever it seems. I’ve actually been around since the inception, or pretty close, of Gingerscraps, so I’m so glad to see it prospering and succeeding so well!

Hello. How are you? I’m doing well thanks for asking. Spring went away here and Winter is back. How far is that? Yeah, not very fair at all. I’m hoping Spring will return soon, I’m tired of being chilly. I think that is all I’ve got for chit chat. Fresh Baked! 3/2

Long time no see! It’s been what? A few hours? Were you excited about all the new stuff that is going on this month? Don’t forget our $1 bake sale is going on for a few more days…we have some great deals in there!!

Do you remember yesterday when I metioned we have a new contest starting? Well the contest starts TODAY! YAY! Here’s the deal I’m going to post a sneak peek for a brand new kit. You will need to look at it, and guess who made it. To make everything fair – no one but the designer and me knows the answer. No one knows who is participating, or whose week is when (well except for me..lol). The designers aren’t allowed to show it to their CT or the store CT. When I tell you this is fair, it is completely fair (plus no GS staff members are allowed to participate just to keep everything even more fair).

What I’m going to do is post the sneak peek in the forum, on the blog and on facebook. It will have it’s own thread so if you are reading this on the blog or on facebook, please don’t post here. Look for the individual posts in the forum, on the blog (leave a comment with your guess), and on facebook. Next Friday I will announce the kit, the designer and the 3 winners…along with showing you the next sneak peek…so get your guesses in within the week!

What you need to do is go to those places (you can guess once at each place if you want) to tell me who the designer is. I will be picking 1 winner from each place and they will win that kit for free!! Sounds like fun right? We are calling this “Mystery Designer”. Ready to start?
