Good morning scrappers!! Here on this side of the world we are in the full swing of winter. That being said, it really hasn’t been very winter-y here in the south. Not a stitch of snow in sight. That doesn’t mean we cannot enjoy some wonderful winter digital scrapbooking! Today we are going to take a look in the store at some great products to get those winter wonderland photos scrapped. Creative Style: White Space

Good morning Scrappers! For those who celebrated Thanksgiving, have you recovered? Are you all ready for what comes next?!You know what…It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Next month for the inspiration side of the blog, we are going to be doing all things Christmas! Fonts, apps, supplies and more. I cannot wait!

Today though, we are going to be looking at the creative style of things. Scrapping white space layouts. I will go ahead and tell you that this is not my forte. I am all about messy, clustery, and filling up my pages. I appreciate what white space layouts are though & love to see them in the galleries. I am in awe of beautifully done white space layouts.

So, what is white space?

White space on scrapbook pages is not always white. It can be any color –it can even be patterned paper. The term white space refers to an area devoid of photos, embellishments, journaling, and title.

White space provides a resting point for the eye and breathing room for the viewer taking in your photos and journaling. White space has a shape that can be active or passive – Get it Scrapped

All these great layouts are linked to their counterpart in the gallery. Make sure you run over & leave them some love. As you can see, white space layouts are not layouts that are lacking!! They all have used their elements and paper to draw your eye to the photo. After all, this is about passing down memories. You can have patterned papers, fun paints, layered papers, and cute elements all on your page!

White space layouts stand out in the galleries against the big photos, layers and layers of papers, and lots of elements. Not to say one is better than the other! We are all different and we all scrap different. This is jut one of those ways. If you think that white space layouts is something you want to try, you know that GingerScraps has the supplies you need. Of course you can make a whitespace layout with any digital scrapbooking kit. Let’s Celebrate…Thanksgiving!

As I mentioned back on the Thanksgiving crafts post, today we are going to look at all things Thanksgiving here at GingerScraps. There is an entire section dedicated to this Holiday in the store.  So let’s celebrate Thanksgiving, GingerScraps style!

Be Pinspired | Thanksgiving Crafts

It is getting that time of the year, here in the states. Let us not pretend that as a whole, we tend to skip over Thanksgiving. We are going to celebrate it for all that it is worth! Being thankful, getting together, taking photos, eating food, crafting, turkeys, history, and more!

Today we are going to take a look around pinterest and see what fun crafts we can find that we can put our digital scrapbooking twist on! We have such great designs and goodies at our fingertips. Sometimes all it takes to get a craft going is a little nudge in the right direction and some printed digital scrapbooking goodies. I did the looking around for you! (images liked to their pin).

 

You don't even have to get the glue out for this one! Take a look in all your latest kits. Most all of them come with buttons in them. Pull those buttons out, get to placing in photo shop (with some shadows!), save & print! Even your digital version would look great framed!

I am such a sucker for artwork done with sweet little hand & feet print. This is real simple! Find some of your favorite digital scrapbooking paper, print & glue. Think of what pretty feathers those papers will make!

GingerBread Girl Inspiration: Atusia

It is that time again scrappers! The time we take just a moment out of our day to get some inspiration from one of our lovely CT members. Otherwise known as a GingerBread Girl. Today, we are going to take a look at the talented Atusia. Or Beata. 🙂

We are going to take a look at some of her beautiful layouts below. Some of, just a few, that caught my eye. Don’t take my word for it though. Seriously. Make sure you go check out her gallery. Today we are going to show you some inspiration from one of our very own GingerBread Girls! She isn’t just any GingerBread Girl!! She is one of the creative team leads. If you are asking what is a GingerBread girl, let me explain who they are. They are GingerScraps creative team. The ladies who bring you inspiration week-after-week using the GingerScraps’ designers latest and greatest designs.

Here are a few of Trina’s layouts that just jumped out of the gallery and grabbed me. Trina has a very clean and no-nonsense way of scrapping. Her layouts are scrapped in a way that the focus is on her great photos. Most all her layouts have journaling on them. Let’s Celebrate! Back to School!

Happy Monday everyone! Did this Monday bring your school age kiddos going back to school? Are you going back to school? Are you a teacher who is getting ready for back to school? Well, it is that time of the year! My son starts back on Wednesday. I am having a bit of a hard time wrapping my mind around the summer being over and him being in the 2nd grade. sigh. That being said, you know as us scrappy mom’s we are going to have some adorable 1st day of school photos to scrap! Not to mention the school supply/clothes shopping, meeting the teachers, and more.

Celebrate | Father’s Day

I cannot even tell you how excited I get for Father’s Day around scrappy town. Tomorrow, is Father’s Day here in the states. A time to celebrate those wonderful men in our lives. I am surrounded by males in my life. Hardly a female in sight. So, I always look forward to the masculine kits that come out this time of the year. GS has a section dedicated to those kind of kits.
