Happy Weekend! Well it happened. The time has finally come and we were left with no other options. My husband and I finally bit the bullet…and joined facebook. I know right? When my friends started seeing I was online I got 5 comments on my wall (is that the right term) with “OMG you are finally here” or “Welcome to the dark side”. I know a lot of you are already on it but my husband has been completely against it due to the lack of security, but now that things are changing a bit in our family we figured it was time to get on it. The good news about that is I’m now a fan (or is it friend…or is it I like) of GingerScraps. Do you like GingerScraps on Facebook (or is it friends or fan)? Will someone teach me the right terms so I don’t sound like an idiot?

It’s August!! Do your kids (grandkids) go back to school this month? Mine do. In fact mine go back in 5 weeks from today. I’m not counting though. That is 29 days, but once again I’m not counting. Things are just getting busy right now and I’m not completely sure why. I’ve been trying to figure out what clothes the boys have and what they will need for school. Although we won’t get the school supply list until a week before school starts, I need to start figuring out clothes (who will wear what and if it fits).
Once again I have a great transition for you – ready for it? “I know what will fit all of you! Some fantastic deals with have going on here at GingerScraps” See? I’m so bad at transitions..lol.
I also have some really HUGE news. Like seriously HUGE. Keep reading, you DON”T want to miss out.
Since it is the first of the month you know what that means right? That’s right it is our $1 Bake Sale!!
One thing that is always in the $1 Bake sale is our monthly Buffet kits! This month’s theme is Summer Cottage! The designers had so much fun this month making the kit and you can totally tell.

Now that we got that out of the way I have to tell you about our Guest Designer! This month our guest designer is Sugar Pie Scraps!!
We are so excited to have her with us! We asked Crystal to tell us a bit about herself and this is what she had to say
My name is Crystal and I am married to the love of my life, Rusty. We live in the south and we have an adorable son named Landen who was born on August 14, 2008. I call him Mommy’s “Sugar Pie” (I’m sure he will love that as he gets older) so that is where I came up with my designer name “Sugar Pie Scraps” because my son is my inspiration for scrapping.
I started paper scrapbooking when I was pregnant with my son. I was on an online mommy board and started making siggies (signature tags). I loved it and then I came across digital scrapbooking. I started digiscrapping around October 2009 and never looked back. I am completely addicted LOL.
I love designing but I also love being a Creative Team member myself. I am blessed to be able to work with some fabulous designers.
I started designing in April 2010 and I was addicted in no time. I have a fabulous Creative Team, the “Sugar Pie Chefs”.

Hi there!!!
Happy Friday! Hope everyone had a fabulous week! Do you feel like summer is wearing down? I do. It’s almost back to school time for those with school-age kiddos. I’ll have to admit – I’m kind of ready for some fall like weather already. Anyhow – did you see the Fresh Baked Goodies for this weekend?
