Good morning! How has your week been going? Are you excited for a new month to begin? It’ll be starting in a few days! This week’s releases are SO wonderful that they’ll make the wait a little easier. This week, we also have a new designer joining us! I’m SO EXCITED!
Before I show you the new goodies (and the new designer), I’ve chosen a few layouts to show off, using May 2014 {Designer’s Choice} buffet and this month’s Monthly Mix, “True Colors”.

My name is Jen Balding – designer behind Girl Boy Girl designs. I am married to my high school sweet heart (20 years next month!) and I have 3 children, girl – boy – girl … which is where my design name came from (so creative!) I have been designing longer than I can remember (literally…they say the memory is the first thing to go *LOL) and I have a special passion/obsession for hybrid crafting. I am so happy to be joining the Ginger Scraps team, and can’t wait to get to know everyone better!

Challenge Spotlight May 27th

Happy Tuesday! Hope the three day weekend was good for everyone in the States! Only 4 days left to get those ten challenge LO’s done! This week, check out the Scraplift Challenge! Natasha from Ponytails Designs is the hostess this month. This challenge is straightforward. The hostess selects a LO and it’s your job to create your own LO inspired by something on the Sample LO. This month’s sample is:
You could go with the stacking of the background papers, the use of three photos, the color combination, a Lo about fair food, etc. The possibilities are endless!

Remember once you are done creating the LO, you must post a copy in the Scraplift Challenge thread and link to the LO in your May tracking thread. There’s still lots of time to get some LO’s done for this month!
