Tutorial Tuesday (Index)

Huh. I was devoid of inspiration for today’s Blog post so I did a quick Pinterest search for Photoshop Elements tutorials I could adapt… it turned up quite a few very familiar tuts! (Mine!) So lacking that bolt from the blue that would give me the juice I needed, I thought, “I should see if there are any requests for help in the GingerScraps Forum that I could use. What I discovered was that none of the “here’s-a-tutorial-about______” threads I’d posted in the Forum had links to the tutorials any more. Ginger thinks the server upgrade back in the spring must have eaten them. What alarmed me is that I hadn’t been spending much time in the Forum while we were moving and getting settled, and there were a number of posts there looking for those missing links. FAIL!! So… I went through all of those threads and updated them. Instead of preparing a new tutorial. Then I updated the Blog post where I indexed all the Tutorial Tuesday posts (there are now 190 of them!) and this is where you can find it: Tutorial Tuesday (Tutorials!)

I also discovered that I’ve neglected my OTHER Blog post, which I’ll be remedying right away.

That brings us back around to my initial question: What topics are GingerScrappers interested in right now? Is there a tip, trick or technique that you’ve tried to figure out and just need a bit of help to get it right? Help me to help you!

  1. Oh my goodness, THANK YOU!! I am one of those who have been looking for those tutorials to no avail, and am very excited that you not only relinked them but also indexed them! Hooray!!

  2. Phew! I’m glad nobody’s popped over to smack me for taking so long!

  3. I haven’t looked at the forum yet, but know that I need to do some editing on a photo to make myself a bit slimmer, since in the photo I am wearing 5 layers and do not like how it looks. Not much but just a little pull in, lol.

  4. Thank you for the links. I’m excited to read through and see what new things I can learn or jog my memory. I wish the color of the links (tut names) was darker. I’m having a hard time with my old eyes being able to easily read the light green-gray that’s used on this blog page.

  5. I love your index of the Tuesday Tutorial – what a great resource. I have a search question for the database. Are there “tags or keywords” associated with each tutorial that help you refine your search when looking for a particular topic or technique? I have searched in the past and I do get some filtering of tutorials. Do you attach tags when you publish the tutorial? Is there a list of tags typically used?

  6. I do tag the posts, but the tags are generic ones. I’ve been adding some editorial comments with the titles of some of the less-obvious topics to make it easier to figure out what it’s about. Have you tried searching by keyword for specific techniques?

  7. I know what you mean about the colours. I bold them all… Imagine how hard they’d be to read if I didn’t! Maybe I’ll start using red for those parts to make them stand out, now that I’ve realized that’s an option!

  8. Oh, that’s a great idea! I’ll show you how to do it next week. Thanks!!!
