The last Friday of September is upon us. That is something about life that I don’t find so beautiful. Honestly, I don’t like how fast time moves. It just *zoom* There it goes. I’m not a fan of that at all.

The passing of time though does mean the beautifulness that is fall is fast approaching. Leaves around here are already changing colors. I was able to visit my father-in-law’s property over the weekend and capture some of the colors. I need some more practice with my camera, I think. The beauty of life: the ability to learn, and grow.

This is the last set of Life is Beautiful buffet layouts that I’ll be showing off, and you know what? I’m sad about that! There have been some absolutely amazing layouts. It was hard to just pick a few to showcase. I’m honored to be able to do it though. It was a high point of my week.

Fresh Baked for September 21, 2012

It has truly been an eventful week! Things have been a little crazy, but in a good way, most of the time. Thursday, my brother-in-law married the love of his life, and I felt so blessed to be a part of it. It was amazing.

It reminds me of how life is so beautiful in the moments we get to share with those we love. Each moment is precious, and life can be fleeting. Getting to see two separate people become one in a union like that is pretty powerful.

I chose some layouts that remind me of the preciousness of life, using the Life is Beautiful buffet by the amazing designers here at Gingerscraps. I hope you enjoy them as much as I did.

Fresh Baked for September 14, 2012

It’s really Friday! I love Fridays. It’s either the start of a busy weekend or the start of a lazy one. We never have one or the other here. I like the busy ones, and I cherish the lazy ones.

I was looking through the gallery, trying to find some layouts that I wanted to show off, using Life is Beautiful. It was HARD to not choose a few by the same people. Not because their layouts are better, but because I keep looking at the photos. I’m recalling pictures of when they were born. Each birthday. Those milestones. I haven’t met these adorable kids in person, but I felt connected.

That’s something that makes the internet completely beautiful. You get to “meet” amazing people that you wouldn’t be able to do so otherwise. Choosing just one layout, or three, as I did today, is harder than you would think, simply for that reason. I did it, but it wasn’t easy.

This was created by Atusia. I really love how she used Joyful Heart’s grunge corners in the corner.

Created by Colleen. This little guy always cracks me up. You can tell that he’s a sweetheart!

Happy Birthday Gingerscraps

Do not adjust your calendar. You’re not confused. It truly is Wednesday, not Friday. Today, Gingerscraps turns FOUR! I cannot believe that it’s been four years. Sometimes it feels like forever, and sometimes it just doesn’t feel like it’s been that long.

In the past four years, we’ve seen new designers just starting out, and we’ve seen a few retire. Each year, we add to the Birthday Buffet, and this year is no different! It’s My Birthday has a few new additions!

We still have the previous minis, as well!

As always, the CT had a blast playing with the minis!

Shh!! It’s a surprise. Okay, not really but it’s definitely a sale! That would make the buffet items $1.40 a piece! That’s a gift that keeps on giving!

Our designers have also bundled three of their previously released kits for just $5! I have a few in mind that I’m going to be buying, that’s all I have to say!

I don’t know about you, but one of my favorite party games is a good old fashion Cake Walk.
You walk around a circle and if you land on a winning number, you get a delicious cake! Well we have our very own digi Cake Walk!
EVERY purchase (of $5.00 or more) you make, between Sep 12th and Sep 16th, will grant you one walk around our cake walk.

Is it really Friday? I swear, I turned around it was already Tuesday. Then Friday. Wow. It’s been a short week here, courtesy of Labor Day. I’m a day behind.

The weekend though gave me lots of opportunities to experience the beauty in life. I love that feeling, don’t you? Just being able to take a deep breath, smell the hint of fall in the air (or spring, depending on where you are in the world, of course). It’s the chance to take a moment, and soak in the beauty all around us. That’s what makes life beautiful!

Life is Beautiful is more than just a great buffet. It’s an ability to reflect on what exactly makes life so wonderful and grand. Maybe it’s the smile on a child’s face. A fresh rainfall that makes the air feel more comfortable. Even just the ability to sleep in can make a day, and life, beautiful.

It’s almost officially fall. Monday, in the States, is Labor Day, the official end of summer. The leaves will be changing from green to browns, and reds, and golds. Or, if you’re on the other side of the globe, from reds, browns, and golds to green again.

Life is beautiful and wonderful like that! There’s something about the changing of the seasons that makes you reflect on the good and happy things in life.

As we say goodbye to our August Guest Designer, Sugary Fancy, we say hello to September’s Guest Designer, Ocean Wide Designs!

Isn’t she a cutie? We asked her to tell us about herself, and she told us she’d try not to be boring!

I live in Central California with my husband, Jeff, and our furry-babies… Riley, a small terror… I mean, terrier! and our two guinea pigs – Sparkles and Bubbles. Jeff and I love to travel the west coast, we like doing outdoorsy things like hiking, geocaching, kayaking, fishing, camping, etc. I work from home running our small businesses, including the Real Life Scrapped social network! When I have the time I LOVE to read cozy mysteries, bake goodies that go straight to my hips, work off those goodies with Zumba & my treadmill, and do crafty things like crocheting & embroidery.

An animal lover, traveler, adventurer, business owner, and crafter?! That sounds anything but boring! I think she’ll fit right in with the GingerScraps family!

I told you I’d be back again! This is the last of the August Newsletters! Tomorrow, if you can believe it, is the start of September!

Don’t despair though! The spotlight on the Go Team Buffet doesn’t have to stop just because August is ending! No! Go forth and play some baseball, score a couple baskets in basketball, perfect your own personal end zone dance when you score a touchdown! Life is all about having fun with the ones that we love.

Fresh Baked: Welcome Kawouette Designs

Okay, I know it’s not Friday, nor is it the first of the month, but sometimes, there’s just something that can’t be contained. It can’t be held back. This is one of those times!!

We at Gingerscraps are proud to welcome a new designer!! Kawouette Designs!!

We asked her to introduce herself, and here’s what she had to say:

Hi! i’am Laëtitia aka Kawouette.
I’m 28 years old. I live in France with my husband and my 3 children (9,6 and 2)!
I scrap since 5 years and i’am designer since 4 years. I have stopping designs on January and i’am back with lots of delicious new goodies!
I love photography, travel,be with my kids,cinema and films in genera!But i don’t like cooking!! I prefer digiscrap!
I love creating kits, purple, owls and stitches in my kits is my favorite!

She’s a French designer, so while her English isn’t perfect, her designs are!! Don’t just take MY word for it! See for yourself!!

Fresh Baked for August 24, 2012

Oh goodness me. Is it really Friday? I’m telling you, these days are zooming right on by!!

As I’ve been driving around lately, I’ve been noticing more and more people on bikes. You know, fully decked out, looking like Lance Armstrong. It’s pretty cool to see people getting active and being healthy. I’d love to join in, if I had a bike. How sad is it that I don’t have one. I guess I could go out and actually run, but where do you store a water bottle when you do that? I’ve got like no hips, so it’s not like I can hook it onto the waistband of my pants. That is not a picture anyone wants to see. 😉

Soon, it’ll be cool enough in the evenings that my husband can take the kids outside and throw around a football. Maybe this will be the year that my son isn’t scared of getting hit by the ball and will actually attempt to catch it!!

Fresh Baked for August 17, 2012

Heyo! It’s that time again! Fresh Baked Friday is seriously one of my favorite times of the week. I think all week on what I’m going to say. Sometimes it doesn’t come out exactly like I want, but I hope y’all enjoy it anyway!

So the Olympics are over. That time flew by, didn’t it? Baseball is winding down, sort of. I’m not sure. I’m not a big baseball follower. I don’t know about you, but I’m more excited for football starting up! Preseason is here. Sundays are now perfect to spend the day lounging in front of the television, watching some pigskin being tossed around.

I’m a total Colts girl at heart. I don’t care if Peyton is in Denver. Even if I do have his jersey hanging in my closet. The Colts have Luck. Horseshoes and Luck! Who can lose?

So, in honor of football, I chose a couple layouts done by our amazing Gingerscraps members!! It’s pretty obvious that y’all LOVE the Go Team buffet, which is what we love to see!!
