There is so much to be grateful for this week, at least in my home. I’m excited for the weekend. Though we’re looking at going from almost summer temps again to snow, I’m excited for a day off. Sunday is Veteran’s Day in the States, and I’m so thankful for those soldiers who gave their lives, and those that served. We’re all thankful for the families that stayed behind. They’re so much stronger than I could be!

This month’s buffet, Attitude of Gratitude, would be great for a layout showing how thankful you are for those that you love. I found a few layouts that showcased that from the gallery.

Well, I have found a few things I’m excited to play with. I’m off to get that Welcome Wagon freebie, that’s for sure! Let us know what you enjoyed the most! We love to hear about it!

The wind has blown all the leaves off the trees. The aisles of stores are starting to smell like a mixture of pumpkin pie, gingerbread cookies, and apple cinnamon. The smells of fall and winter, mixing all together, I love this time of year.
Children are getting excited for the chance to knock on neighbors doors and say “Trick Or Treat”. Teenagers are deciding if it’s worth the hassle of dressing up to get some candy, or seeing if they can just snag some from the bowl when they help their parents greet the trick-or-treaters. Parents are talking to their kids about safety and about their own Halloweens with their parents.

Instead of finding some layouts using the buffet, we have a new Monthly Mix out. It’s called Dia de Los Muertos. It truly fits the mood of the next few days, I think, whether you celebrate Halloween or not. Whether you participate in the Day of the Dead festivals that occur. The colors are bright, fun, and it’s just a great kit, all around.

Wow. The wind is blowing up something fierce. What leaves we had on the trees are gone. Thankfully, I was able to get some pictures of fall while I was on a field trip this week. Were you able to get any pictures of fall?

My favorite thing about fall is going to a pumpkin patch. One of our local patches has a whole little festival, if you want to call it that, that they put on. There’s a corn maze, a huge rocking chair, and even pig chasing. It’s interesting, but the pumpkins are expensive. I keep forgetting how expensive pumpkins are until it’s time to buy them again. Anyone else have that sort of memory fail?

Speaking of fall and pumpkins, don’t forget about October’s buffet created by the Gingerscraps designers? Fall Festival would work great for a visit to the pumpkin patch, or anything pumpkin or fall related. Here are a few layouts that I found in the Buffet gallery that I just had to show off.
