Happy Tuesday, y’all! Can you believe it’s already the third week of August?! It’s insanity! School is about to start (woohoo!), summer is fading away (hopefully sooner than later on that one), the new fall lines are out (sorry, I work in fashion)… August is about to be over and here we come, fall! But before I keep rambling and the month ends while you’re reading this, let’s get to the challenge spotlight for this week, shall we? 🙂
This week I am spotlighting the word art challenge hosted by the ever-lovely Kathy of Kathy Winters Designs! Speaking of August, her word art freebie focuses on just that–the month of August! It’s really pretty and great for any layout…enough talk, let’s see it!
I know, right? It’s flipping awesome! I love the mix of fonts here and the WA just lends itself to being the focal point of all kinds of fabulous layouts. Need some examples of it in action? Thought you’d never ask!

Blue Heart Scraps is having a CT call!
CT stands for Creative Team, something I learned after joining the GingerScraps community earlier this year. Joining a creative team is super fun, not only do you get to work with great products from our GingerScraps designers but you get to be on a team with some pretty outstanding ladies! Even if you’ve just started scrapping, I always say apply! You never know if a designer sees that something special in you.
So, kids are back in school right? Well, not for me, not for another few years yet but with all those “first days” I can only imagine the few hundred photos now on your SD cards. 😉 We’ve got several great “Back to School” kits in our shop! Some new, some old but all of them are perfect for this time of year.

Personally, while I’m enjoying the toddler years (you’ll never hear me say that again) I can’t wait for back to school shopping and filling my camera with First Day photos! Heyo! It’s that time again! Fresh Baked Friday is seriously one of my favorite times of the week. I think all week on what I’m going to say. Sometimes it doesn’t come out exactly like I want, but I hope y’all enjoy it anyway!
So the Olympics are over. That time flew by, didn’t it? Baseball is winding down, sort of. I’m not sure. I’m not a big baseball follower. I don’t know about you, but I’m more excited for football starting up! Preseason is here. Sundays are now perfect to spend the day lounging in front of the television, watching some pigskin being tossed around.
I’m a total Colts girl at heart. I don’t care if Peyton is in Denver. Even if I do have his jersey hanging in my closet. The Colts have Luck. Horseshoes and Luck! Who can lose?
So, in honor of football, I chose a couple layouts done by our amazing Gingerscraps members!! It’s pretty obvious that y’all LOVE the Go Team buffet, which is what we love to see!!
