DSD Weekend is upon us!

Are you ready for the excitement of this weekend? I am beyond excited!

Jacque here – let me start with a little update. We had a crazy storm the other day that dumped over a foot of snow on us (yes! in October) and knocked out power for tons of people. Talk about a rude awakening – in the 15 years at this house – the power has gone out for no more than a couple hours at a time. 3 days with no heat was not something we were prepared for! Thankfully – all is back to normal and we are all thawed out! 🙂

The other update I want to provide you with is about the Daily Download for November. It IS coming!!! Things have been crazy with the behind the scenes preparations for DSD weekend but Ginger is working very hard to get it all set for y’all. As soon as its ready to go for you – we’ll get it posted – I promise! 🙂 So – to tide you over – I’d like to invite you over to my blog to check out my very first attempt at a freebie mini-kit for a blog train. There are 2 templates there as well. 🙂

Okay – so now onto the fun of this weekend:

Hi! I’m Crystal aka Inspired Designs and I’m super excited to be part of the Ginger Scraps Design Team! I live in Eastern Canada with my Hubby of 11 years and our 2 kids. Emma is 5 and Aiden is 4. We have 2 cats named Kitty and Fluffy as well as a Black Lab named Maggie. I love to read and I’m a huge Twilight addict!!! Go Team Edward! 🙂 I started scrapping back in 2006 when I was pregnant with Emma and started designing wordart shortly after. I have been designing kits for almost 3 years but wordart is my true creative passion, as you will see in my store! It’s loaded with lots of wordarty goodness!

Fresh Baked with News! 11/1/11

Happy 11/1/11!!! That’s a lot of 1’s! I know it isn’t as many as 11/11/11 and that will be here in just 10 days. Make sure you come back on that day because we’ll, we have a plan in action that I know you all will just love. Speaking of love, there is just so much to tell you I’m not sure where I should start. First let me just say that I’m happy to announce Sherry Ferguson is going to stay right here! We were able to twist her arm and make her stay. Hey Gang! My name is Terra (aka Sugar Kissed Designs). I am SOOO thrilled to be here! I seriously jumped up and down when Ginger offered me the guest spot! I live in Arizona. I moved here 6 years ago to be closer to my grandmother. I have a cat and a boxer dog named Gus. He’s often the subject of my scrapping. I’ve been designing for over two years now. It feels like I just started yesterday, though! I love to doodle and incorporating those when I can into my kits! Speaking of which… I have two exclusive kits for you sold in individual pieces as well as a full bundled kit. I also have a set of gift box hybrid templates that will be free this month to be used in our Candy Wrapper Challenge so be sure to stop by and play! I also have a set of neutral paper stock. I love having neutrals on hand if I need to lighten up a layout or if I’m just looking for something that’s not just white or cream.
