Fresh Baked: March 01, 2015

It’s the month of spring! This month is going to be full of luck, all things green, and lots of goodies! This month, we have TWO new designers joining the team, a new guest, and February’s guest staying with us permanently. How much LUCKIER could we get?

It is the First of the month, and that means the revel of our new Buffet!! Don’t forget the new Buffet items will all be 50% off (from the 1-5th of the month)!

The designers all had their own take on what the colors and theme said to them! I love the variety!

The designers knocked it out of the park. The designs are just amazing and so well done!

The CT did such a great job showing how well all of the kits blend. They all did wonderful work!

Mandy of Mandy King!

We asked her to tell us about herself and this is what she had to share:

I live in the Cincinnati, OH area with my four children, Emma, Annabelle, Simon and Eli. I taught sixth grade (and loved it) before staying home with my babies (who aren’t babies anymore!). I volunteer in the schools and am active in our church, teaching Sunday School and participating in the drama/outreach program. I started paper scrapping before having children (and will often joke that scrapbooking is WHY I had them) but once I discovered digital in 2005, I was obsessed! My inspiration is found in the little things from everyday living…my kids’ smiles, the books we read, the funny, quirky things they say…even from their messy rooms! When I think back to my own childhood, I remember the big events, but wish my mother had kept a scrapbook of those types of daily things. That’s what I try to capture in my designs…the ups and downs of each day!

Designer One joining the team is Ginger of Dandelion Dust Designs!

Here’s what she had to share about herself with us:

Hi everyone, I’m Ginger. Not "thee" Ginger, just so there isn’t any confusion.  While originally from Nebraska, I’ve lived in the metro Phoenix, AZ area for more than 25 years. I love baking, cooking, Nebraska Husker Football, I’m an avid TV fan of too many shows to count, and of course I love creating digital scrapbook kits.
I started paper scrapping about 15 years ago, as a result of taking a stamping and card making class. I loved the creative outlet and couldn’t get home from work quickly enough each day, to begin scrapbooking. While I loved it, I was never quite satisfied with how my pages looked. I took a break away for many years as I changed careers, and in the summer of 2009 I stumbled across digital scrapbooking. I couldn’t drive to Costco fast enough to buy PSE that came with a CD teaching how to scrapbook digitally. I remember just staring at my computer screen while watching all the lessons on the CD, wondering how I would ever be able to do what the CD was teaching. I was instantly hooked! I knew immediately I wanted to be a digital scrapbook designer and 3 months later created a blog and started giving away my kits as freebies. Just over a year later I was invited to join my first online store and after being with a couple of stores and learning so much the last 5 years, I’m thrilled to bring the Dandelion Dust Designs product line to GingerScraps.

Our second designer designs under TWO names: Katie of Just So Scrappy and Ooh La La Scraps!

Here’s a little bit about her that she shared with us:

Hi Everyone. I’m Katie and I go by both Just So Scrappy and Ooh La La Scraps (Yes I’m nuts I have 2 design lines) I am a busy Mom to 5 wonderful kiddos. I have 1 handsome son Dylan (23) and 4 beautiful daughters Madeline (18) Emma Rose (16) Abigail (14) and Isabella (10). I have been married to my fantastic Husband Micheal forever. When I’m not at my computer creating I am in the kitchen with my girls coming up with some new sinful treat, we all love to bake and OMG it shows.
I have always been a crafty person. From the time I was allowed to use the glue gun I was making something. I started scrapbooking about 12 years ago, I was pretty heavy into anything glitter as most of my pages revolve around my 4 girls. About 8 years ago I was watching my favorite Scrapbooking shows while my baby girl was napping and they were talking about this digital scrapbooking thing. I was hooked IMMEDIATELY. I asked my Husband to give me Photoshop Christmas. I spent the first 6 months or so purchasing kits, making layouts and then answered a CT Call and became a CT for a store. After a while I thought I would dabble in creating my own papers, creating some elements and started a blog where I could give them away. It didn’t take long after that I built my own store and now here I am. I am so excited to become part of the GingerScraps Team.
