I can’t believe it’s already September–that is just plain insanity! It was just spring…now it’s fall?! Well, it’s sort of fall. It was over 100 here in Texas yesterday so, let’s call it “fall.” 🙂 I spent the long hot holiday weekend inside gets all kinds of scrapping done! I’m gunning for the big prize at the end of this month and I’m already halfway there! Let’s catch you up to speed with this week’s challenge spotlight; I’m talking about Crystal of Inspired Designs’ mini kit challenge! I just love the colors of this min, rich and pretty for fall and so many ellies, can hardly believe this is a freebie! Enough chattering, let’s take a look at what she’s got for us this month!
Absolutely beautiful, Crystal! What’s even more beautiful are the amazing layouts the ladies of the forum have already been busy at work creating! Amazing work, as usual! Do I ever expect anything less from all the talent we’ve got pouring out at GingerScraps? Of course not! 😉 I adore April’s journaling and title work, Judy’s use of “patterned white space,” and Poki’s ribbon-y paper strips! All fabulous, gals, I love them!

Good Morning!

New month means new buffet, Sarah introduced us to this beautiful new buffet yesterday. Our designers blended so perfectly this lovely color pallet. Life IS beautiful!
Of course, I’ve got to share one or two pieces I just love –
I absolutely love Joyful Heart Designs’ Grungy Corners! I can’t even describe why, I just love looking at them. Such a simple, pretty way to liven up your pages (which I intend to use more than once I tell you!)! Another simple fun way to add a little something extra is with wordart- something I love to use ALL THE TIME, so of course when I saw Wyld Web Designs’ wordart in the buffet I started to salivate. Okay, I didn’t really salivate, but creatively I was drooling. I LOVE the “Keep Calm” bit. So check out both of these designers contributions to the new buffet- but don’t stop there, check out ALL of our designers pieces! I am amazed and yet not surprised at all the beautiful bits created by everyone. In fact, when I’m done here I’m totally going to go look through them all again, increase my wishlist a bit, you know- typical Sunday morning. 😉
NEW GUEST DESIGNER! I suppose I didn’t need to CAPS it, but how exciting, right?! Ocean Wide Designs is here to play with us during the month of September. I’m excited and can’t wait to see what she’s got in store for us – literally and figuratively. HA!
There’s quite a bit to share today, let’s just keep going friends!
There are two, very different, but equally fun calls going on right now. First up, our newest designer Kawouette, is having a CT Call!
I really love what she’s shown us so far and am excited to see what else she will create for us!
The other call happening, is one very near and dear to me of course, my own call! “But you’re not a designer!” Of course not, silly. 😉 The Ad Team is looking for a few good peoples.
The Ad Team has loads of fun, but I can’t give away all our secrets, so you’ll just have to apply! 😉 Maybe some of you are thinking, “Well, I don’t do Facebook”, well I don’t blame you. BUT! Don’t let that discourage you! We can work around that, I promise. 😉

It’s almost officially fall. Monday, in the States, is Labor Day, the official end of summer. The leaves will be changing from green to browns, and reds, and golds. Or, if you’re on the other side of the globe, from reds, browns, and golds to green again.
Life is beautiful and wonderful like that! There’s something about the changing of the seasons that makes you reflect on the good and happy things in life.

Isn’t she a cutie? We asked her to tell us about herself, and she told us she’d try not to be boring!
I live in Central California with my husband, Jeff, and our furry-babies… Riley, a small terror… I mean, terrier! and our two guinea pigs – Sparkles and Bubbles. Jeff and I love to travel the west coast, we like doing outdoorsy things like hiking, geocaching, kayaking, fishing, camping, etc. I work from home running our small businesses, including the Real Life Scrapped social network! When I have the time I LOVE to read cozy mysteries, bake goodies that go straight to my hips, work off those goodies with Zumba & my treadmill, and do crafty things like crocheting & embroidery.
An animal lover, traveler, adventurer, business owner, and crafter?! That sounds anything but boring! I think she’ll fit right in with the GingerScraps family!
