Fresh Baked: March 22

Oh Friday!! How you sneak up on us always. This week, Pretty in Green created some frames that work with every kit in the store, including the new Project 365 themed packs that Kathy Winters put together. There’s sixteen packs in that series, and she’s hinted at more. Connie Prince, Bekah E Designs, Twin Mom Scraps, and Blue Heart Scraps all have some adorable Easter-themed kits. Jimbo Jambo, our guest for March, has a great template series available. That’s not everything either!

So, Sunday was St. Patrick’s Day but that doesn’t mean the “lucky” feeling needs to end! Make sure you check out the Lucky Me buffet and pick up a few packs.

Fresh Baked: March 15

Happy Friday Gingerscraps Fans! This week, the designers really created some amazing things! Angelclaud, Jimbo Jambo Designs, and ViolaMoni have amazing and fun templates to work with. Pixelily, Trixie Scraps, and Connie Prince have some great bundles that will fit any scrap page you might want to make. If you’re on the hunt for good CU, Bekah E Designs has wonderful grab bag for you!

Speaking of good things, I found some seriously ADORABLE layouts for y’all to admire! I’m definitely loving the theme of “Lucky Me” and I can tell that it’s a theme everyone else is loving.


I love this layout by beckyroy. She is definitely a McCutie. I love the clusters on the side. I wish I could do it that well!


I always adore layouts by trina513. This one is no exception. I love the use of white space. The minimal amount of elements just makes the pictures stand so out. I also love the font choice!

A many photos layout by MamaCake. I love how the pictures are arranged in a circular fashion. And I love the way the little clusters just draw your eyes more to the pictures.

Fresh Baked: March 01, 2013

Bye February! You never stay around long enough for us to even adjust to the fact that it’s a new month, and then you’re gone. Can you believe that we’re at March already? Sixteen days until green beer, gold coins, and when everyone becomes Irish. At least that’s how it feels. As the mom of a St. Patrick’s Day child, it’s a fun holiday for us to celebrate.

The colors surrounding March seems to always be rainbows, and this month’s buffet is no exception. It’s such a fun and happy buffet, as well. You’ll be saying “Lucky Me” when you scrap with it!

The designers really showed their playful sides with this buffet!

The CT had a lot of fun finding pictures that fit the theme, and I think that they did a great job, as well!

Tracy of Trixie Scraps Designs!

Tracy, aka Trixie of Trixie Scraps Designs, happily opens her shop with us today! She has over 10 years of experience as a scrapbooker, beginning first with paper and switching to digi in 2007. In October 2008, she opened her first store as a digital designer and has never looked back! Tracy just recently relocated to the Kansas City area with her husband Erick and their two dogs, Diamond and Lucy. She’s a devoted aunt to three nieces, one nephew (and one on the way) and she spends a lot of time with her cousin’s three little boys, as well. She loves popcorn-flavored Jelly Bellys, Mexican food, country music and reality TV. Fresh Baked: New Designer

Good morning! I hope that your Monday won’t be too hectic. If it is, maybe this will bring a smile to your face!

We have a new designer joining the team! Bekah, of Bekah E Designs!

We asked, as always, for Bekah to tell us a little about herself, and this what she had to share:

I have been married to my teenage sweetheart for 19 years. We live in the Great Northwest with our 3 beautiful children.
I originally discovered digital scrapbooking through a Christian mom’s forum that I was a member of. Some of the mom’s in the forum would share these beautiful decorative pages with photos on them. (I later found out they called them, “layouts”). 😉 I thought these “layouts” were so amazing and started doing some research on the internet which led me to purchase my very first digital scrapbooking software.

I had found a new creative outlet and I was totally hooked! And so, in order to feed my new found obsession, I joined a few digital scrapbooking forums and immediately joined in on as many of the forum challenges as I could. I later started designing my own digital word art and offering freebies on my blog and at the end of 2008 was asked to join the design team of a new digital scrapbooking store that would soon be opening.

I am a self taught Photoshop junkie and have dabbled a bit in Illustrator as well. When I am not designing I enjoy, hand crafting my own paper and fabric flowers, crocheting, and spending quality time with my family.

I’m excited to see some of her other projects, and not just her scrap designs!!

Fresh Baked: New Designer

Good morning! I hope that your Monday wasn’t too hectic. If it was, maybe this will bring a smile to your face!

Two  big things are happening at Gingerscraps. One is that we have a new designer joining the team! Theresa, of Simple Girl Scraps!

We asked, as always, for Theresa to tell us a little about herself, and this what she had to share:

Hi Everyone! My name is Theresa, aka Simple Girl Scraps. I’m a 28 year old Canadian and a creative enthusiast! I love all things creative and crafty! I started scrapbooking when I was in middle school and started digiscrapping nearly 5 years ago when I moved to Japan and had limited access to scrapbooking supplies! I started designing 2 and a half years ago with some encouragement from a friend and I love it!
Other things I love: vintage cameras, owls, cooking, thrifting, quilting, running, and weight lifting!

Oh wow. She’s lived in Japan. That’s so cool! I can’t wait to hear more about it!

Fresh Baked: HAPPY NEW YEAR!

5… 4… 3… 2… 1… HAPPY NEW YEAR! Can you believe it? It’s 2013!! 2012 was filled with ups and downs, a few bumps and bruises, but plenty of good friends and love. At least it was here at Gingerscraps. Gingerscraps saw a new look, lots of new designers joining the team, and the sadness of a few leaving us.

New Year’s is the time for celebration, and for reflecting. It’s the time to set new resolutions and review the ones we made the year prior. This month’s buffet, Hopes and Dreams is perfect for that!

Fresh Baked for November 30, 2012

I am so thankful that we all survived this month together. Is it just me or did it fly by? Can you believe that tomorrow is December. Just a few more days left in 2012. I’m also thankful that it’s that time of year to share our Christmas stuff. I love Christmas lights.

I’ve been playing The Nutcracker music on repeat lately. It is one of my most favorite things of the holidays. I adore the ballet. I love the music. And I have an obsession with the figurines. Anyone else adore them?

Fresh Baked: Another New Designer

I love writing these newsletters! I love sharing that we have a new designer joining us. It makes me feel all giddy inside.

Today, we have ViolaMoni joining the squad here at Gingerscraps!

As we always do, we asked her tell us a little about herself, and this is what she had to share with us:

I’m Monica, aka ViolaMoni, 24yo, from Milan, a beautiful city in the north of Italy. I just finished my art studies at the university and now I’m looking for a job: my dream is to open my own studio, where I can teach painting and drawing to children and adults. I live with my parents and my old (17yo) dog, Chicco.
I love theatre, cinema and art in generally. I’m a creative person, I like painting, drawing, photography ….but I don’t like cooking! 😉
I hope you like my designs!

Oh, I have always wanted to go to Milan! I bet it is just absolutely GORGEOUS there!

Fresh Baked: A New Designer

Wow. I don’t know about you, but iDSD just about wiped me out! It was so much fun, though, wasn’t it?

Well, the fun continues today, because we at Gingerscraps are pleased, and excited, to announce the opening of a new designer: Matilda Designs!

As always, we ask our new designers to share with us a little about themselves. Here’s what Valerie had to say:

I’m Valérie, and my designer name (Matilda designs) is inspired in my little girl’s name. 😉
I’m a 30 something years old, I was born and raised in France but I live in Northern Portugal for many years now with my husband and my 3 yo little princess. I love everything about arts and crafts in general.
I discovered paper scrap back in 2006, and its digital version in 2008. I immediately fell in love with this digital art (and I knew right away I was one step away from designing!), but due to professional reasons I couldn’t start right away… So, I started to scrap in 2009/2010 after my girl was born, and I rapidly started to participate in collaborative kits in the forums as I was too curious about the way designers created their kits. I started selling my products 1 year and a half ago, and now, here I am, with this fabulous family at GS!!

AWW! I love that she’s already seeing us as family here at Gingerscraps. What could be better?

Fresh Baked: New Designers

Oh my goodness! I’m going to attempt to not be heavy-handed with the exclamation points, but I’m not sure how successful I’m going to be. It’s going to be a hard job, that’s for sure.

Why am I so excited? I’m so glad you asked. Today, we have three, yes THREE, amazing designers joining the team here at Gingerscraps. I’m so happy I could squeal. These three ladies are amazing designers, and I’ve admired their work for so long. I feel so lucky that I get to announce who they are!

So, help me welcome Moni, of 2am Designs, Angela, of Angelclaud ArtRoom, and Marleen, of Kokon Scrap-Art.

Hi there! I’m Monica (Moni), the designer behind 2 am Designs.
I’m from Argentina and I currently live in Buenos Aires with my husband and 2 kids, a boy and a girl.
I stumbled upon digital scrapbooking while surfing the web for card making ideas.
I began scrapping and designing about 3 years ago when I made my first page for a color challenge, then my first paper pack and I haven’t stopped ever since!

My name is Angela and I’m from Jakarta, Indonesia. I started digital scrapbooking around 1.5 years ago after I became a mother to a sweet little girl. Being a first time mother, I took hundreds of photos of my her and needed a better way to journal and record her development. After some searching in Google, by chance, I discovered Digital Scrapbooking. With some prior knowledge of Photoshop and all the abudance information and help in the scrapbooking community I become a digital scrapbooker.
I’ve developed my scrapbooking style after a while and realized that I just love layering and clustering. My pages don’t feel complete without them. As I scrapbook to preserve memories, it’s also important to me that the pages tell the story I want to convey. Of course, there are also times when I just want to try out a new techniques or two.
I scrap almost every day, whether it’s creating layouts or templates. When I’m not scrapping or taking care of my daughter I love to read, listen to music, and watch movies.

Excuse me. Now I will have to squeal. Templates. Lots of templates. I just adore templates.

My name is Marleen, my designername Kokon Scrap-Art, I live with my husband and children in the Netherlands.
In late 2007 I discovered digital scrappen and I found it right away great, within the shortest times I was hooked.
I could lose so much creativity in scrapping and after a while I became CT member by a designer, later on I was in more CT teams. To try out I made a kit, people liked it and in this way I became designer. I love to design but I also love scrapping, my style is white space. My kits you can use for normal scrapping but also for white space that I always keep in mind.
I´m so very glad that I got the chance to design for Ginger, already I love it here! I hope you like my stuff and I’m very curious to know more people at Ginger, I do my best!
I’m choclat and ice cream addicted, I love also a good book but most of the time I’m creative. Two time’s a week I go paint in a studio, that’s fantastic.
