HAPPY DECEMBER!! We’re at the last few newsletters for 2013! The year is nearly over! That doesn’t mean the fun is going to end! Whether you’re doing December Daily, a layout a day, or what, you’ll find this month full of kits perfect for whatever you’re doing!

This month, there’s no official theme to the buffet. There’s a unifying color palette, and the kits play together beautifully. Enjoy the December 2013 {Designer’s Choice} buffet series this month!

We have NEW Buffet options!! You asked for it, and we listened! The GS Buffet will now included FULL size kits!! In addition to the mix and match packs, you can now also find full size kits in the buffet section. The price point has been adjusted accordingly. Everything in the Buffet will always be $4.00 and under. Every month the new Buffet items will all be 50% off (from the 1-5th of the month). That means Full kits for $2 and a ton of mix and match packs all for $1!! You will not want to miss this!

The designers all had their own take on what the colors and theme said to them! I love the variety!

Challenge Spotlight – Buffet Challenge

Good morning everyone! It’s been quite some time since I blogged about our fabulous monthly challenges; I’ve been positively swamped with school and life, but I miss letting y’all know about the challenges and prizes and funfunfun! I think it’s time to get back on the horse, don’t you? 🙂

This week I will be spotlighting the buffet challenge hosted by Monica of ViolaMoni Designs! This month’s buffet theme was designer’s choice with a lovely fall-inspired palette to tie it all together. Here’s a fun YouTube video created to show off all the awesome buffet pieces!

If you haven’t grabbed any buffet pieces, head over to the store and get yourself a little treat. 😉 The only requirement for the buffet challenge is to use pieces from the buffet–any designer, in any way! Ok yes yes, I cheated and picked four layouts to highlight this time instead of three–I couldn’t help it! The designers made so many different themes this month, I had to show some off. We’ve got wine, gargoyles, pretty positivity and of course, Halloween! I love uniquely themed kits to scrap specific life moments and this month’s buffet has several! 🙂

We’re already a week into the month, so if you haven’t started your post in the October 2013 Tracking Thread, now is the time to get the ball rolling! As always, all completed challenges earn you points towards a fabulous reward at the end of the month, so scrap scrap scrap!

Challenge Spotlight – Buffet Challenge

Howdy, ladies! How is your week going? This is my last week of freedom before school starts back up–eek–so I’m trying to get a bunch of scrapping in before I have to start hitting the books again! This week I am spotlighting a challenge I just completed this weekend, the buffet challenge hosted by Rachel of Harmonystar Designs! August’s buffet was designer’s choice with an awesome palette; there is seriously a ton included in the buffet, but here is just a little peek at some of the pieces:

So pretty, right? I have to say, when I first saw the palette, I was SO excited and the kits our designers came up with are just gorgeous! The buffet challenge has quickly become one of my favorites and the forum ladies have knocked it out of the park this month! Take a look for inspiration:

LOVE these pages! Make sure you take a moment to leave these ladies some love in the gallery because these layouts are fabulous. I picked pages that use different designers’ buffet pieces so you can really see the variety here. If your style is vintage, modern, bright, subtle–there’s something in this month’s buffet for you! Make sure you swing by the store and check out all the buffet goodies. 🙂

There’s just over a week left in the month, so now is crunch time to get your challenges completed and tallied up for a sweet reward come next month! Challenge Spotlight – Buffet Challenge

Welcome to July! Can you believe it’s already here? Seems like it was just the holiday season and now 2013 is half gone. I’ll be packing up summer clothes soon and I haven’t even put my coat away! 😉 This week I am highlighting one of my personal favorite challenges, the buffet challenge, hosted this month by Bekah of Bekah E Designs!

July’s buffet theme is…designer’s choice! Our designer had a palette to work off of with their imagination picking the theme for each of them! We’ve got a fishing kit, a graduation kit and more–don’t miss out on the buffet on sale now; take a look at some of the kits!

The colors have a nice masculine look while still being bright and summery. I’m liking the broad spectrum of themes here, too! For the buffet challenge, all you have to do is create a layout using some pieces from this month’s buffet–easy peasy! Take a look at some of the pages the ladies in the forum have already hammered out!

Loving the colors even more after checking out some of the pages you ladies have come up with! I love that the kits can be used for really specific photos or just general ones with a certain theme. This is truly a versatile buffet you need to add to your stash! 😉

Challenge Spotlight – Buffet Challenge

Hello and happy May! Is everyone still recovering from iNSD? It’s finals for me so I didn’t get to do a whole heck of a lot of scrapping, but I hit up some chats, got to know some rad ladies (some might have gotten to know me more than they wanted!) and bought awesome new scrappy stuff! If you picked up this month’s buffet pieces while they were on sale, you’re all prepared for this week’s challenge spotlight: the buffet challenge hosted by Rachel of Pretty in Green! Spring has pretty much sprung at this point (except for that random cold front last week!) and it’s about that time to have pictures of pretty flowers blooming, the kiddos running around in the grass and just being out in the fun! This buffet is perfect for all your fun spring photos.

Loving these layouts already! The grey in this buffet is a lovely neutral and goes so well with the bright reddish orange and muted yellow and green. These three pages all have a great energy and capture the colors of this buffet so beautifully! Wonderful layouts, ladies. 🙂

We’re already a week into May (what?!) so if you haven’t staked your spot out in the May Challenge Tracking Thread, you might want to mosey on over and do that! 😉 There are some cool rewards to be had if you play along with our challenges and tally up your points at the end of the month!

Challenge Spotlight – Buffet Challenge

Hello, beautiful scrapping ladies. 🙂 I hope this blog finds you well and at the start of a great week! My spring break is over and sadly, I didn’t enough of a break to do much scrapping! If you find yourself in the same boat, now’s your last reminder to wrap up this month’s challenges! All completed challenges are due for credit on the 31st, so make sure you get those last-minute scraps done. Here’s an easy one that I always like, the buffet challenge hosted this month by Isabel of Crisdam Designs. This month’s buffet, Lucky Me, is chock full of bright greens, pretty rainbows, shamrocks and more! Definitely one of my favorites! Here are just a few of the lovely pieces our designers created this month:

Love those vibrant colors for the upcoming spring season and holidays! Hey there and good morning, all! Hope everyone’s week is off to a fabulous start! This week I am spotlighting an easy challenge that should get you scrapping: the buffet challenge hosted by Rachel of Harmony Star! This month’s buffet is called Hopes and Dreams and it evokes thoughts of a new year, a fresh start and looking forward. I simply love the palette and all the unique packs the designer came up with for the buffet. Here are a few of my favorite pieces:

Challenge Spotlight – NEW Buffet Challenge

Hello and happy Tuesday, ladies! Can you believe it’s JULY?! Where did the first half of the year go? Sheesh! Well, with summer months comes scorching heat and the desire to stay indoors! Need something to pass the time while you soak up the AC? Why not do some challenges and earn awesome prizes! This week I am spotlighting a brand new challenge: the buffet challenge hosted by our fearless leader, Ginger…of GingerScraps fame! 🙂

For this challenge, you are making a layout that goes along with our monthly buffet–easy peasy! This month’s buffet is seriously AMAZING and the forum is abuzz on how great a job our designers did with it! The theme is Away We Go!

Whether you’re traveling by car, truck, RV, motorcycle, boat or plane this summer, this buffet has something for everyone’s summer vacation layouts! It’s May 1st. Really. I promise. I’m telling you the truth. Can you believe it? What happened to April? We’re one-fifth of the way through twenty-twelve already. What sort of insanity is that?

There’s a lot of information and goodies to share with you today! I’m excited about everything. SO much is going to be happening! The Gingerbread Ladies outdid themselves, I’m telling you!

The first bit of news? Do you know what next weekend? It’s NSD!! National Scrapbooking Day is something we digital scrapbookers look forward to for so long. Or is that just me? Well, Gingerscraps has some amazing things planned for it!

The designers are hosting everything, and they’re pulling out all the stops!

70% off sale on Thursday and 50% Friday through Sunday. Some restrictions apply.

Every other hour, a speed scrap or chat will be going on. That means everyone will have a chance to join in on something!

Persnickety Prints has the best printing services around, and they’re getting into the swing of things for NSD, too, with amazing sales. I don’t know about you, but I think I’ll take advantage of this deal!!

The bake sale is going on now! Go! You have until the 5th of May to take advantage of some amazing $1 deals!! You never know what you’ll find on sale.

Time for a new buffet. April Showers bring May Flowers, usually, but instead, at Gingerscraps, May isn’t about the flowers. No, we’re all about the babies. This buffet is perfect for all those baby-related layouts. There are also items related to adoption, so it’s perfect for all of those layouts, as well. May is also synonymous with Mother’s Day. Flowers, cards, and love. These kit pieces speak of all of that. Even the pet mommas need some extra loving this time of year. Why not share that with someone you love?

The Gingerscraps designers really out-did themselves this month with some great mini kits, and they all coordinate so perfectly. There’s something perfect there for everyone!

Some big news concerning our April Guest, Find Your Bliss Designs. She’s staying! It’s been wonderful seeing her designs in the store, and I’m happy that she has decided to make Gingerscraps a more permanent home!

Now, it’s time to introduce May’s Guest Designer. You might have seen some of her collab designs in the store with other designers. We’re so excited to announce that our guest designer is

We asked Jen for a little bio, and this is what she told us:

Hi all! My name is Jen. I live in Belfast in the UK. I’ve been married for almost 6 years and we have two beautiful children – Luke and Charlotte. When not digi designing, I work as a web marketer and graphic designer for two local companies. Oh – and of course, playing with my kids! I stumbled into digi scrapping 2 years ago when I was on maternity leave and designing blogs for friends. I started on my first creative team shortly after and designing soon after that! I absolutely love it! I’m inspired by everything from interior decorating magazines to song lyrics, a photo of my kids to suggestions from my fans and creative team. If you ever have a suggestion for a kit or template idea, just let me know!

I can’t wait to get to know her better! And to see her designs, of course!
